As previously announced by the Lancaster Stormers of the Atlantic League twenty six year old infielder Tyler Miller has signed a minor league contract with the Phillies. He was playing for the Stormers where the left handed hitter posted a .310/.401/.620 slash line and 1.021 OPS in 47 games (217 PA’s) with 16 doubles, 14 home runs and 56 RBIs. As far as we know a week ago today was the last day my son Dan lived on this earth. We remain terribly hurt and saddened by his departure. My Son

No one truly knows what another person is thinking. We spend our lives often masking emotions, thoughts and perceptions just to stay aligned with what’s the acceptable way. My son walked onto a boat dock two evenings ago, got on his boat, drove into the ocean and never returned. As his father I am terribly sad, angry, defeated and devastated. Andrew Painter’s most successful season to date (at least statistically) was in 2022 when he skyrocketed thru the system going from Low A Clearwater to AA Reading. Then came the two lost seasons as a result of Tommy John surgery with a return to the mound in 2025 at Lehigh Valley.
