As far as we know a week ago today was the last day my son Dan lived on this earth. We remain terribly hurt and saddened by his departure. To those of you that reached out with sincere condolences thank you for doing so. When his status of missing was posted on multiple social media platforms most of the commentary was kind however there were a few that showed themselves to be mean spirited, ignorant, small minded and spiteful. No one truly knows what another person is thinking. We spend our lives often masking emotions, thoughts and perceptions just to stay aligned with what’s the acceptable way. My son walked onto a boat dock two evenings ago, got on his boat, drove into the ocean and never returned. As his father I am terribly sad, angry, defeated and devastated. The past two days have been two of the longest to endure. I keep wishing I knew what he was thinking, I keep replaying our interactions

Today is opening day for the Dominican Summer League (DSL) which was founded in 1985. Since the 2016 season the Phillies have fielded two teams (Phillies Red & Phillies White) in the league, this year they will consolidate into one club.
