Almost as if on cue with the trade deadline fast approaching there’s been some strong pitching performances this week in the Phillies minor league system. In addition to the seven un-drafted free agents I previously wrote about RHP Kobe Minchey has committed to signing with the Phillies. He will need to pass his physical before officially inking a contract. Twenty four year old outfielder Wuilfredo Antunez has signed a two year minor league contract with the Phillies on 7/17/26. The native of Venezuela has been released by the Guardians on 7/12/26. Antunez was playing at the AA level (Akron) with the Guardians - last season he posted a combined (High A & AA) slash line of .275/.335/.521 with an .856 OPS including 26 doubles, 7 triples, 18 home runs and 67 RBIs. He received a non-roster invite to this year’s big league spring cam
