1/10/2021 : Winter League Recap


Australia :


LHP Josh Tols posted his second win of the season on Saturday by pitching 1 2/3 scoreless innings vs Canberra. He allowed one hit and two walks while striking out one batter. He earned his first win of the season on 1/2 with two innings against Canberra. Josh struck out four of the six batters he faced in the 1/2 contest.


Catcher Chris Burke had two hits, a walk and an RBI in the game Tolsy won.


Adelaide will host Brisbane and Perth in a hub on the 13th after the games in the Brisbane hub were halted for a three day lockdown due to Covid concerns.


No games were on the docket for the 10th.


Mexico :


RHP Victor Arano threw a perfect frame on Saturday for Yaquis de Obegron striking out one batter.


Victor didn’t allow an earned run in four games ( 4 IP ) against Charros de Jalisco in their 4-2 best of seven playoff series win. He yielded two unearned runs in one game but was unscored upon otherwise.


Venezuela :


Daniel Brito had an outstanding week for Aguilas de Zulia. He went 6 for 19 ( .316 ) with three triples and six RBIs. He’s played really well all season, bodes well for this coming summer season ... likely at Reading.
