Game Summary : Phillies 3 Braves 2 ( 10 Innings )

Alec Bohm hit a sacrifice fly in the first inning to left field with the bases loaded to score Andrew McCutchen with the first run of the season.

JT Realmuto squibbed a single thru the second base hole to score Rhys Hoskins ( double & went to third on Bryce Harper single ) in the second inning.

Pablo Sandoval hit a two run pinch hit home run in the seventh inning for Atlanta. It came on an 0-2 count.

Jean Segura singled with two outs to score Bryce Harper ( placed runner ) in the bottom of the tenth inning for the game winning walk off winning hit !

On The Hill :

Aaron Nola ( FB 92-94 ) went 6 2/3 innings ... held Atlanta scoreless till the last batter he faced. Final line - 2 R, 6 H, 0 BB, 6 K’s ... 84 pitches - 62 strikes.

Archie Bradley ( FB 93-94 ) recorded the final out of the sixth inning on a fly out to center field after walking the first batter he faced.

Jose Alvarado ( FB 98-100 ) struck out the side in a scoreless eighth inning but not before loading the bases with a walk, single and HBP. Got the heart pumping 🙃

Hector Neris ( FB 91-93 ) threw a perfect ninth inning.

Connor Brogdon ( FB 95 ) pitched a scoreless tenth inning facing just two hitters, the placed runner was thrown out at home plate on an attempted tag up from third to end the inning !

At The Plate :

Jean Segura had two hits including the game winning walk off single !

JT Realmuto singled and doubled. Both Andrew McCutchen and Bryce Harper walked and singled. Bryce also hit a ball into the wind in left field that would have normally left the yard ... instead it was caught.

Adam Haseley hit the ball hard twice today against lefty pitchers ... one hit to show for it.

Doubles : Rhys Hoskins, JT Realmuto

Defensive Gems :

Second baseman Jean Segura made a nice running catch in short right center field ... went about 30 yards to track it down.

Third Baseman Alec Bohm made a leaping catch to snare a would be two run double and instead record the second out of the sixth inning.

Didi Gregorius made a tremendous over the shoulder backwards catch in shallow left field for the final out of the ninth inning !

Roman Quinn threw out Ozzie Albies at home plate to end the 10th inning.

The wind prevented at least three baseballs from leaving the yard ... best defender of the day.

Notes :

Aaron Nola put down two very good sacrifice bunts, however in neither case did the advanced runner score.

Adam Haseley left today’s game with tightness in his left hamstring. He’s day to day, Joe Girardi said on the Zoom Call.

Happy Day, Happy Baseball ⚾️
