Game Ten Summary : Mets 4 Phillies 3 ( Eighth Innings )
Dominic Smith hit a two run home run for the Mets in the first inning.
Andrew Knapp hit a sac fly to score Alec Bohm ( doubled ) in the second inning.
Rhys Hoskins scored for the Phillies in the sixth inning after walking and advancing to third base on a single by Bryce Harper and a groundout by Didi Gregorius. Jean Segura scored him by beating out an infield hit with two outs in the inning ... Jean has done that quite a lot this season 👏.
Didi Gregorius got an infield single with two outs in the eighth inning to score Andrew McCutchen ( placed runner at second ) who had just advanced to third base on a passed ball.
Pete Alonso singled to lead off the bottom of the eighth inning to score Francisco Lindor ( placed runner ) and re-tie the game. The Mets loaded then loaded the bases on a walk and infield hit. Jonathan Villar singled to score the game winning run.
On The Hill :
Chase Anderson ( FB 90-92 ) went four innings allowing two runs on two hits and three walks. He struck out three batters and threw 74 pitches - 44 strikes. He pitched well.
Jo Jo Romero ( FB 93-96 ) tossed a scoreless fifth inning allowing only a walk.
Jose Alvarado ( FB 98-101 ) threw a scoreless sixth inning allowing just a HBP. He struck out one batter.
Connor Brogdon ( FB 95-97 ) struck out two batters after walking and hitting the first two batters he faced in a scoreless seventh inning. He went with the cheese to blow away Brandon Nimmo and Dominic Smith ... this kid is special 🤫💪.
Hector Neris ( FB 92-93 ) took the loss allowing two runs on three hits and a walk. He recorded two outs.
At The Plate :
Jean Segura and Didi Gregorius each had two hits. Alec Bohm walked and doubled. Bryce Harper singled and was intentionally walked.
