I thought I’d take a look at Opening Day roster makeup for each of the 30 major league squads ... but from a different perspective. My focus has always been on player development and in particular how the Phillies fare and compare in that regard.
Gathering the data is cumbersome so I’ll take a piece meal reporting approach as I build the complete data base ... in today’s world most folks I believe don’t like reading lengthy articles anyways so cutting the data into segments perhaps holds interest 🤷♂️🤓.
Here’s a look at the National League East opening day rosters in regards to how the players were acquired, where they were born, roster ages and the number of pitchers carried ...
