Following the draft 23 year old LHP Tristan Garnett signed as an amateur free agent with the Phillies. He played at California State - Dominguez Hills and is from Portland Oregon, now residing in Torrance, CA. Prior to that he pitched for Linn Benton College. He’s recently pitched for the Arroyo Seco Saints in a collegiate summer league. Tristan is 6’5” 195.
Another signing was Lamar University senior third basemen/catcher Anthony Quirion. He’s 23 years old and is 6’2” 205. He hit .293 with 23 home runs and 83 RBIs in 450 AB’s while at Lamar.
One of the top Canadian players in collegiate baseball, Quirion was a three-year letterwinner (includes COVID-shortened 2020 season) for the Cardinals and during that time became one of the Southland Conferences top sluggers, as well as a standout defensively at third base during his final season.
