Angels starting pitcher Dylan Buddy did what’s become a rarity as he tossed a complete nine inning game ! The right hander yielded one run on four hits, walked none and struck out ten batters throwing 107 pitches - 76 strikes ... and the complete game was played in 2 hours and 23 minutes ... talk about your throwbacks!
Shohei Ohtani and Max Stassi homered for LA and Tommy La Stella had two hits.

Matt Olson homered and Kris Davis had two hits and two RBIs to pace the A’s offense. Mike Fiers went six innings to pick up the win ( 4 R, 7 H, 2 BB, 2 K’s ). TJ McFarland, Yusmeiro Petit and Liam Hendriks each tossed a scoreless inning with Hendriks posting his fourth save.
Isiah Kiner-Falefa had three hits for the Rangers including a triple and scored twice. Todd Frazier homered and had two knocks. Shin-Soo Choo and Anderson Tejada each had two hits as well.
Indians 13 ( 8-6 ) Reds 0 ( 5-8 )
Most of the young season has been an offensive struggle for Cleveland but in this game they busted out with a ten run seventh inning and posted 11 hits and 9 walks in the game.
Jose Ramirez hit two home runs and tripled for the Tribe, scored four runs and had four RBIs. Cesar Hernandez had two hits, three RBIs and scored twice and Franmil Reyes had two hits.
Carlos Carrasco pitched six innings of one hit baseball and three relievers finished out the shutout.
Jesse Winker had two of the three Reds hits.
Rockies 6 ( 9-3 ) Giants 4 ( 6-8 )
The Rockies used home runs from Trevor Story, Daniel Murphy ( pinch hit ) and Charlie Blackmon. Murphy and Blackmon each hit two run dingers in the five run fifth inning. Story and Blackmon each had two hits.
Kyle Freeland went 6 2/3 innings for Colorado ( 3 R, 8 H, 3 BB, 3 K’s ) ...
Donovan Solano continues to rake for the Giants with another three hit game ( two doubles ). Pablo Sandoval had two hits as did Mauricio Dubon who also hit a three run home run.
Tyler Anderson went five shutout innings for San Francisco of two hit baseball but the bullpen couldn’t hold the Rockies back thereafter.
Pirates 6 ( 3-10 ) Twins 5 ( 10-3 )
Kevin Newman delivered a pinch hit two run walk off single for the Pirates to lead them to their third win of the season. Gregory Polanco hit a three run home run kn the fourth inning ... Bryan Reynolds and Colin Moran each had two hits. Sam Howard went 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief to pick up his first win.
Jorge Polanco had three hits for Minnesota and Miguel Sano hit a three run home run in the first inning. Byron Buxton and Eddie Rosario each hit solo home runs in the middle innings of the game.
Royals 13 ( 4-10 ) Cubs 2 ( 10-3 )
Maikel Franco, Whit Merrifield and Jorge Soler each homered for the Royals. Soler and Salvador Perez each had three hits with Merrifield, Franco, Ryan O’Hearn and Alex Gordon each getting two hits ... KC had 18 hits in the game.
Brad Keller went five shutout innings for the win.
Victor Caratini had two hits for the Cubs.
Braves 4 ( 9-5 ) Jays 3 ( 4-6 )
Nick Markakis hit a walk off home run for the Braves with one out in the ninth inning for the win ... Markakis had originally opted out of playing this season but decided recently he would participate.
Freddie Freeman had two hits including a two run home run in the first inning. Touki Toussaint went 6 2/3 innings ( 3 R, 4 H, 0 BB, 9 K’s ) and three relievers pitched scoreless ball behind him with Mark Melancon getting the win with a perfect ninth inning.
Lourdes Gurriel had two hits for the Jays and Bo Bichette hit his first home run of the season.
Marlins 8 ( 6-1 ) Orioles 7 ( 5-7 )
The mighty Marlins scored six runs in the first four innings and two in the seventh for the win. Jonathan Villar had three hits including a lead off home run in the first inning to lead Miami. Francisco Cervelli, Brian Anderson ( three RBIs ) and Logan Forsythe each had two hits. Anderson tripled and both Forsythe and Cervelli doubled.
Renato Nunez hit two home runs for the Orioles and Chance Sisco ( two hits ) and Dwight Smith Jr each homered. Hanser Alberto and Anthony Santander each had two hits.
Brewers 8 ( 5-5 ) White Sox 3 ( 7-6 )
Jedd Gyorko had two hits ( including a two run HR ) and three RBIs for the Brewers and teammates Keston Hiura, Omar Narvaez and Mark Mathias each had two hits. Christian Yelich homered and walked four times.
Leury Garcia doubled, homered and had three RBIs for the White Sox.
Diamondbacks 5 ( 5-8 ) Astros 4 ( 6-6 )
Kole Calhoun delivered a two run walkoff double in the ninth inning for Arizona’s win.
Ketel Marte and Starling Marte each had three hits with Starling doubling twice.
Zac Gallen pitched six strong innings for Arizona allowing two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out six batters.
Jose Altuve had three hits including a double and home run and scored three runs. Alex Bergman had two hits in the game ... starting pitching Brandon Bielak went six shutout frames allowing just two hits and three walks.
