Three more Minor League players have been officially added to the 60 man player pool at Allentown.
Outfielder Mickey Moniak joined the crew after rehabbing a knee injury in Clearwater. He was officially placed on the 60 man player pool roster on 8/29. Mickey played at Reading last summer where he hit 11 homers and drove in 67 runs and led the league in triples with 13 and was second in total bases with 204.
Infielder Luke Williams was officially added to the pool today. He also played at Reading last season where he hit 30 doubles, 11 home runs and drove in 51 in 125 games. His defensive versatility stood out as he played seven different positions during the summer.
Catcher Henri Lartigue was also officially added to the pool today. He had previously participated in both Spring Training and Summer Camp with the big club this year and now joins the player pool to finish the year. Henri was the primary receiver for Reading last season.
Lastly RHP Mauricio Llovera was added to the active big league roster today for the first time in his career. Maurcio pitched at Reading last summer in 14 games before being shut down with a fore arm strain and finishing the season with the rehab team in Clearwater. He’s a fireballer who led the Florida State League in strikeouts in 2018 when he was a member of the Clearwater Threshers.
OF Kyle Garlick was also added to the active big league roster while Jay Bruce was placed on the IL and Roman Quinn was placed on the concussion protocol list.
