Boston’s Bobby Dalbec hit a two run home run against David Phelps in the top of the sixth inning. Phelps faced three hitters without recording an out ( 2 BB, HR ).

The Phillies brought the tying run to the plate in the bottom of the seventh with one out but two hard hit balls by Jean Segura and Rhys Hoskins were caught to end the game.

Notes :

Deivy Grullon made his first big league appearance for Boston.

Another former Phillie ... Sixto Sanchez was outstanding for the Marlins tonight against the Braves ... 6 shutout innings ... 3 H, 1 BB, 6 K’s - touched 101 🔥 on the radar ! Miami writers are comparing him to the late Jose Fernandez in regards to dominate stuff !

The Phillies are off tomorrow and then play seven games in five days in Miami ... they enter the series with a 1 1/2 game lead over the Marlins pending the outcome of the Braves/Marlins game tomorrow.
