Summary :


Mark Payton doubled for Charlotte to lead off the game, went to third on a single by Jake Burger and scored on a sac fly by Carlos Perez.


Charlotte scored a third inning run on two singles and a throwing error.  Tyler Neslony doubled for them in the 4th inning to score a run.


Josh Ockimey homered to lead off the bottom of the 4th.


Laz Rivera homered for Charlotte in the 9th inning


On The Hill :

Summary :


Kendall Simmons singled in the second inning, went to third on a single by Jared Carr & scored when Baron Radcliff singled.


Greensboro scored seven runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning on four singles, a double ( Abrahan Gutierrez), two walks and an error.


Ethan Wilson hit a two run home run in the 3rd inning scoring Luis Garcia ( walked ) in front of him.   Greensboro scored a run in the bottom of the inning on an hit batter, error and steal of home.


Luis Garcia homered in the 5th inning.  They scored a run on the 6th on a Garcia groundout.


Greensboro used a double & two singles to plate a couple of runs in the seventh, they scored twice in the 8th on a Daniel Lopez double.


On The Hill :

Baron Radcliff was 3 for 3 with a walk and a double.  Ethan Wilson & Nicolas Torres each had two hits.  Wilson homered as did Luis Garcia.  Nicolas Torres doubled.


Florida State League ( Low A ) - St Lucie 11 ( 62-43, 22-18 ) Clearwater 8 ( 49-56, 14-26 )

Summary :


Omar De Los Santos homered for St Lucie in the first inning.


Alexeis Azuaje singled in the bottom of the first and scored on a double by Leandro Pineda.  Hao Yu Lee singled to score Pineda.  After a double play cleared the bases Chad Castillo hit his first professional home run - a drive over the center field wall.


Alexeis Azuaje singled in the bottom of the second and scored on a triple by Leandro Pineda.


Carlos Dominguez homered for St Lucie in the 4th, they scored another run on a walk,stolen base, wild pitch and sac fly.


The Threshers loaded the bases in thr bottom of the 4th on a single ( Wilfredo Flores ), fielding error and walk.  Hao Yu Lee singled to score two runs.


St Lucie plated four runs in the 7th inning on two doubles, three singles and a walk.


Chad Castillo doubled in the bottom of the seventh, two walks loaded the bases.  Wilfredo Flores singled to score a run, Erick Brito grounded out to score another.


Junior Tilien homered for St Lucie in the top of the 9th inning.  Eduardo Salazar hit a three run home run.


On The Hill :

Five Threshers had two hit games -Alexeis Azuaje, Leandro Pineda, Hao Yu Lee, Chad Castillo & Wilfredo Flores.  Pineda doubled & tripled.  Castillo doubled & homered.


Notes :


C Anthony Quirion & LHP Keylan Kilgore were added to the roster on rehab assignment.  RHP Cam Wynne was activated from the IL.  RHP Daniel Harper was added to the roster.


Florida Complex League


Phillies 10 ( 18-28 ) Tigers 7 ( 16-31 )


Summary :


Cesar Calderon hit a first inning home run for the Tigers, Daniel Robertson walked, Jordan Viars singled and Nick Matera singled to score Robertson in the bottom of the first for the Phillies.


Adonis Figueroa hit a solo home run for the Tigers in the third inning.  Justin Crawford singled in the bottom of the third, after making his way to third on a ground out and subsequent wild pitch - he scored on yet another wild pitch.


The Tigers scored twice in the fourth inning - they loaded the bases on a hit batter and two walks.  Two wild pitches scored the runs.  A walk, double and single scored two more for them in the fifth.


The Phillies loaded the bases in the bottom of the 5th on a hit batter and two walks -  Dakota Kotowski doubled to score two runs.  Nikau Pouaka-Grego tripled to score two more runs.


The Phillies loaded the bases in the bottom of the 6th on an error and two walks, Felix Reyes singled to score two runs.

A single, walk, ground out which advanced runners and a wild pitch resulted in a run for the Tigers in the seventh.


Two singles ( Jordan Dissin & Nikau Pouaka-Grego ) and a hit batter ( Bryan Rincon ) loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh - a wild pitch scored a run - another run scored on two more walks.


On The Hill :

Phillies Red ( 32-19. ) Tigers2 ( 25-22 ) - two games


Game One - Tigers2 6 Phillies Red 1 - seven innings


Completion of suspended game from July 28th - play resumed today - third inning


Summary :


The Tigers scored three runs in the first inning on two doubles, a hit batter, single and ground out that scored a run.  They scored three more in the third with the key blow being a two run double by Ricardo Hurtado.


Marco Soto doubled in the 4th and scored on a single by Kliubert Avila .


On The Hill :


RH Edgar Zuniga - 2 IP, 3 R, 4 H, 0 BB, 2 K’s

RH Josbel Garcia - 1 IP, 3 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s

Summary :


Marco Soto doubled in the first inning and scored on a double by Fernando Hernandez.


Jerffson Pena hit a solo home run in the third inning.


Yemil Rosario walked in the fourth, stole second and third base and scored on a fielding error.


Jerffson Pena singled in the 5th, went to second on a fielders choice, stole third base and scored on a passed ball.

Rockies 7 ( 35-17 ) Phillies White 2 ( 31-19 )


Summary :


The Rockies scored a run in the first on a single, walk and two ground outs.


Nolan Beltran walked & Dervin Andrade singled in the third, William Bergolla singled to score a run.  Jorge Garcia hit a sac fly to plate another.


The Rockies scored twice in the third, one on a triple by Sandry Hernandez.  They added three runs in the 5th on two singles, two doubles and a steal of home.  They scored one more in the 6th.


On The Hill :

Any thoughts on Herbert Iser? Seems to be doing well in a couple games at AA.
