According to CPBL Stats on twitter the Phillies have signed 20 year old RHP Pan Wen-Hui to a minor league contract. Hu joins Hao Yu Lee as Taiwanese players in the Phillies minor league system.
He is a big arm type pitcher - throws a fastball that sits 96 to 98 mph, a splitter ( 75-77 mph ), curve ( 72-73 mph ) and a slider and has been a part of multiple Taiwan national teams - was on the team that led Taiwan to victory at the 2019 U-18 Baseball World Cup and is a highly regarded international prospect.
Reportedly a press conference is scheduled for January 16th in Taiwan to make the formal announcement.
