Cornelius Randolph had two hits including a two run home run to lead Adelaide to a 4-2 victory over Perth. It’s the second homer of the season for the noticeably leaner young outfielder. He also had a web gem catch in left field this past week making a diving snare of a low sinking line drive. 👍
Luke Williams and Mitchell Edwards each had two hits in the contest as well while Kendall Simmons contributed one hit. Edwards had an RBI.
RHP Tyler Burch was placed on the active roster and should see action on the hill this week.
One observation from a fan in attendance at the games being played in the Adelaide hub ... “They are playing in some tough conditions, the field is right on the beach and faces the Antarctic southern ocean. Winds have been up to 50mph coming straight in from center. It’s a true challenge on pop ups !” 😳

Mexico :
Victor Arano went 2/3 of an inning with one strikeout ... getting both batters out that he faced .... he earned a hold for Yaquis de Obegron.
Puerto Rico :
No Phillies were involved in the game but Indios de Mayaguez defeated Atenienes de Manati 30 to 8 in their playoff game yesterday 😳. Third baseman Emmanuel Rivera had 4 hits and 10 RBIs in the game ! He hit two home runs and two doubles ... each of the dingers were three run shots.
Venezuela :
Former Phillies minor leaguer Willians Astudillo went 5 for 6 for Caribes de Anzoategui including a double, home run and two RBIs.
