Notes on Phillies and former Phillies participating in winter leagues from games played on 1/18. Current Phillies bolded and underlined.
Dominican Winter League : Round Robin Playoff Tournament :
Aguilas Cibaenas 4 (11-7) Leones del Escogido 1 (12-6) - the Aguilas will play the Toros del Este on 1/19 in an elimination game.
Venezuela Winter League : Round Robin Playoff Tournament :
Aguilas del Zulia 4 (6-5) Cardenales de Lara 3 (6-4) - Ali Castillo (2B) and Simon Muzziotti (DH) each had a hit (singles) for the Aguilas.
Caribes de Anzoategui 8 (7-4) Bravos de Margarita 4 (3-7) - Herlis Rodriquez (CF) went 3 for 5 (two singles & double) with an RBI and run scored and Aldrem Corredor (1B) 2 for 3 (single & HR) with two walks, an RBI and three runs scored for the Caribes.
Puerto Rico Winter League : League Championship Series :
Leones de Ponce 7 (1-4) Cangrejeros de Santurce 0 (4-1) - William Simoneit (1B) hit a grand slam home run for the Leones and Jesmuel Valentin (2B) was 2 for 4 (singles) with a walk. RHP Andrew Baker pitched 1/3 of an inning (4 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 1 K) for Santurce.
