The brunt of the Phillies league contingent plays for the Adelaide Giants.
1/20 : Adelaide 6 (28-11) Brisbane 3 (22-17)
Nick Ward went 2 for 3 with a single and home run, he also walked and scored twice. Andrick Nava was 1 for 3 with a single.
Adelaide secured their best regular season in franchise history.
1/20 : Adelaide 17 (27-11) Brisbane 2 (22-16)
Rixon Wingrove went 4 for 5 with two singles, a double, home run and three RBIs. Kendall Simmons, Anthony Quirion and Cade Fergus each had two hits. Simmons doubled and homered posting three RBIs. Fergus singled and homered and recorded four RBIs. Quirion singled and doubled with one RBI. LH Braeden Fausnaught started and pitched three scoreless frames (2 H, 2 BB, 2 K’s - 58 pitches - 34 strikes).
1/19 : Adelaide 16 (26-11) Brisbane 7 (22-15)
Cade Fergus and Andrick Nava each went 3 for 5, Nava scored twice and Fergus crossed the dish three times. Rixon Wingrove was 2 for 3 with a single & double, walked once and posted three RBIs. Nick Ward doubled, walked twice, had two RBIs and scored two runs. Lachlan Wells pitched 4.2 innings (4 R - 2 earned, 4 H, 2 BB, 3 K’s. Former Phillie RHP Austin Ross pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts.
Dominican Professional League :
The Estrellas Orientales meet the Tigres del Licey in the league championship series beginning today.
Venezuela Professional League :
1/19 : Former Phillies minor league outfielder Carlos Tocci went 4 for 4 with an RBI for Tigres de Aragua against Leones del Caracas. He was 2 for 4 on the 18th against and 3 for 3 including a triple on the 17th.
Mexican Pacific League :
Naranjeros of Hermosillo will play Venados de Mazatlan in the championship series beginning today.
