Notes on Phillies and former Phillies participating in winter leagues from games played on 1/4. Current Phillies bolded and underlined.
Dominican Winter League : Round Robin Playoff Tournament : Bryan De La Cruz(RF) went 1 for 3 (single) with an RBI and run scored for the Toros del Este (5-2) in a 10-6 win over the Gigantes del Cibao (0-7). RHP Jeurys Familia pitched a scoreless inning (1 H, 1 K) for the Aguilas Cibaenas (3-4) in a 5-2 loss to the Leones del Escogido (6-1).
Mexican Winter League :
Naranjeros de Hermosillo 9 (2-1) Charros de Jalisco 5 (1-2) - RHP Orlando Gonzalez pitched two innings (1 R, 2 H, 2 BB - 39 pitches - 22 strikes) and RHP Alan Rangel threw an inning (2 R, 2 H, 1 BB - 27 pitches - 13 strikes) for Hermosillo.
Águilas de Mexical 2 (3-0) Yaquis de Obregón 1 (0-3)
Cañeros de Los Mochis 5 (2-1) Tomateros de Culiacán 0 (1-2) - Luis Verdugo (SS) was 1 for 4 (single) and Joey Meneses (1B) 1 for 3 (single) for the Tomateros.
Algodoneros de Guasave 5 (3-0) Jaguares de Nayarit 4 (0-3) - LHP Ethan Lindow pitched five scoreless innings (2 H, 3 BB, 3 K’s) for the Algodoneros.
Venezuela Winter League : Round Robin Playoff Tournament : games postponed for other reasons
Puerto Rico Winter League : League Playoffs : the Cangrejeros de Santurce (2-1) defeated the Criollos de Caguas (1-2) by a score of 6-3. Jesmuel Valentin (2B) hit a home run for the Leones de Ponce (1-2) in a 5-3 loss to the Gigantes de Carolina (2-1). Jan Hernandez (CF) was 1 for 3 (single) with an RBI for the Gigantes.
Colombian Winter League : Gabriel Lino (C) went 2 for 2 (double & HR) with an RBI for the Vaqueros de Monteria in a 2-1 win over the Caimanes de Barranquilla. LHP Jordi Martinez pitched 1/3 of an inning (0 R, 0 H, 1 BB) for the Caimanes. Nolan Beltran (PH-3B) went 1 for 1 (single) for the Tigers de Cartegena in a 16-6 win over the Toros de Sincelejo.
