RHP Christian McGowan went 4 1/3 innings, two runs, five hits, three walks, two strikeouts - 81 pitches - 44 strikes.
Caleb Ricketts caught and went 1 for 3 with a single. Matt Kroon was 0 for 4 as the third baseman but did steal his third base of the season.
Dominican Winter League :
Opening night as three games were played, Carlos De La Cruz got into the opening game for the Gigantes del Cibao as a defensive replacement in right field in their 7-5 win against Aguilas Cibaenas.
