Johan Rojas went 2 for 3 ( double & triple ) with a walk, run scored and two RBI’s in last night’s Arizona Fall League game between Surprise and Mesa.   Rojas also stole two bases giving him 12 in total within the 11 games he’s played.  The mercurial 22 year old is now hitting .325 with a .417 OBP in 48 plate appearances - he’s second in the league in stolen bases.  In total for the 2022 season Johan has swiped 74 bases between Jersey Shore, Reading and the Arizona Fall League being caught just five times.

With the pitch clock and limited pickoff attempts rule coming into effect in the major leagues for 2023 Johan could be a viable weapon at some point next summer for the Phillies as he continues to progress, he will certainly be placed on the 40 man roster this offseason as he’s Rule 5 eligible.

Jhailyn Ortiz hit his second home run of the season in last night’s game - it was a three run dinger.  After a slow start to the AFL season he’s went 4 for his last 10 with 2 home runs and 5 RBI’s.   Taylor Lehman took the mound loss in last night’s game - first rough outing for him thus far - 3 runs on 3 hits with 2 K’s in one IP.
