Notes on Phillies and former Phillies participating in fall/winter leagues from games played on 10/22 and 10/23. Current Phillies bolded and underlined.
Arizona Fall League :
10/22 : Dylan Campbell hit his third home run of the fall season - a two run blast for the Surprise Saguaros in a 10-1 victory over the Scottsdale Scorpions.
10/23 : Bryan Rincon played shortstop and went 1 for 5 (single) with a stolen base in a 7-5 win for first place Surprise (9-4) against the Mesa Solar Sox. Dante Nori led off (0 for 4) and played center field for the Saguaros. RHP Daniel Harper pitched a perfect inning (one strikeout - 10 pitches - 6 strikes) and RHP Tommy McCollum pitched an inning (1 R, 4 H, 0 BB, 1 K - 26 pitches - 15 strikes). Former Phillies minor leaguer Starlyn Caba led off and played shortstop for Mesa - he homered and went 1 for 4 with a walk and two RBIs.
Dominican Winter League :
10/22 & 10/23 : all games ppd - weather
Mexican Winter League :
10/22 : Darick Hall went 1 for 4 (single) for the Naranjeros de Hermosillo in a 4-2 win against the Yaquis de Obregón. LHP Anthony Gose pitched a scoreless inning (one hit) for the Tomateros de Culiacán in a 4-3 win over the Jaguares de Nayarit. RHP Kyle Tyler pitched six scoreless innings (two hits, three walks, five strikeouts) for the Algodoneros de Guasave in a 4-1 loss to the Tucson Baseball Team.
10/23 : Darick Hall went 1 for 4 (single) for the Naranjeros de Hermosillo in a 5-3 win against the Yaquis de Obregón. LHP Jared Wetherbee pitched seven innings (1 R, 8 H, 2 BB, 7 K’s - 115 pitches - 71 strikes) for the Jaguares de Nayarit in a 9-3 win over the Tomateros de Culiacán.
Venezuela Winter League :
10/22 : Jose Godoy went 3 for 5 with a single and two home runs driving in five runs for the Aguilas del Zulia in a 15-7 win over the Tiburones de La Guaira. Simon Muzziotti also homered for Zulia and had two hits - Ali Castillo had three hits (two singles and double) - both Castillo and Muzziotti scored three runs. LHP Cristhian Tortosa had a rough outing for Cardenales de Lara - he faced three batters without recording an out - three runs, one walk, one hit (HR) - 12 pitches - 6 strikes. The Tigres de Aragua defeated the Cardenales 9-4.
10/23 : Herlis Rodriguez went 1 for 4 with a double for the Caribes de Anzoategui in a 19-4 lopsided win against the Aguilas del Zulia.
