Notes on Phillies and former Phillies participating in fall/winter leagues from games played on 10/27 and 10/28. Current Phillies bolded and underlined.
Arizona Fall League :
10/28 : Dylan Campbell went 1 for 3 (single) with a walk and played first base for the Surprise Saguaros in a 5-4 loss to the Scottsdale Scorpions. Dylan has now played six defensive positions (1B,2B,3B,LF,CF,RF) for Surprise as he continues to expand his versatility. Dante Nori was 0 for 3 with a walk and played center field in the game, RHP Daniel Harper pitched 2/3 of an inning (0 R, 0 H, 1 BB, 1 K - 12 pitches - 6 strikes) for Surprise. The Saguaros are now 10-6 and in second place in the six team league. Starlyn Caba (SS) went 2 for 5 (singles) with a walk and run scored for the Mesa Solar Sox in an 11-6 win against the Glendale Desert Dogs.
Dominican Winter League :
10/27 : center fielder Johan Rojas made his season debut for the Gigantes del Cibao going 1 for 3 (single) with a walk in a 10-2 loss to the Leones del Escogido. Jonathan Guzman (SS) went 2 for 3 (single & HR) with two runs scored and three RBIs for the Leones. RHP Aneurys Zabala pitched a scoreless inning (1 H, 1 K) for the Leones. Catcher Rodolfo Duran went 2 for 4 (singles) with an RBI for the Estrellas Orientales in a 6-5 loss to the Aguilas Cibaenas. RHP Jeurys Familia pitched a scoreless inning (1 BB, 2 K’s) for the Aguilas.
10/28 : center fielder Johan Rojas was 2 for 4 (single and two run HR) with a run scored and four RBIs for the Gigantes del Cibao in a 7-5 loss to the Leones del Escogido. RHP Jimmy Cordero pitched a scoreless ninth inning (1 H, 1 BB) for the Leones to record his second save of the season. Rodolfo Castro went 1 for 4 with a two run home run, drove in three runs and scored twice for the Estrellas Orientales in a 15-10 loss to the Aguilas Cibaenas. LHP Jhordany Mezquita pitched a scoreless frame (1 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s - 16 pitches - 12 strikes) for the Aguilas. Felix Reyes was 0 for 1 as a pinch hitter for the Toros del Este in a 8-2 loss to the Tigres del Licey. RHP Adonis Medina pitched 1.2 innings (0 R, 1 H, 0 BB, 2 K’s - 30 pitches - 23 strikes) for the Tigres. Before the game the Toros honored LHP Cristopher Sanchez who also threw out the first pitch - he pitched for the Toros from 2019 to 2023 in winter league play.
Mexican Winter League :
10/28 : RHP Orlando Gonzalez pitched a scoreless inning (1 H, 1 K - 24 pitches - 14 strikes) for the Naranjeros de Hermosillo in a 6–0 loss to the Tomateros de Culiacán. Darick Hall (1B) was 1 for 4 with a double for the Naranjeros while Jon Singleton (DH) went 2 for 5 (singles) with two RBIs for the Tomateros. RHP Manuel Urias pitched a scoreless inning (1 H - 8 pitches - 4 strikes) for the Cañeros de Los Mochis in a 4-0 loss to the Yaquis de Obregón. Jorge Flores (SS) went 3 for 5 (two singles & double), Jared Carr (CF) tripled and Esteban Quiroz (2B) had two hits (double & HR) for the Algodoneros de Guasave in a 5-4 loss to the Jaguares de Nayarit. LHP Taylor Lehman pitched a scoreless inning (1 BB - 18 pitches - 10 strikes) for Nayarit - RHP Kyle Tyler started and went three innings (1 R, 2 H, 3 BB, 3 K’s - 61 pitches - 34 strikes) for Guasave.
Venezuela Winter League :
10/28 : Simon Muzziotti (LF) went 1 for 3 with a double and walk for the Aguilas del Zulia in a 3-1 win against the Cardenales de Lara. Aldrem Corredor (1B) was 2 for 4 (single & HR) with two RBIs for the Leones del Caracas in a 7-5 win over the Tigres de Aragua. RHP Andrew Schultz pitched a perfect inning in relief (3 K’s - 15 pitches - 10 strikes) for the Tigres. Wilson Garcia (DH) was 1 for 3 with a double, RBI and run scored for the Bravos de Margarita in a 5-1 win against the Tiburones de La Guaira. RHP Luis Pacheco pitched a scoreless inning (1 H, 1 BB, 1 K - 26 pitches - 14 strikes) for the Tiburones.
