Notes on Phillies and former Phillies participating in fall/winter leagues from games played on 11/12. Current Phillies bolded and underlined.
Dominican Winter League :
Johan Rojas (CF) walked twice in game one of a doubleheader for the Gigantes del Cibao in a 2-1 win over the Leones del Escogido. He was 1 for 5 (single) in game two, a 5-3 loss. RHP Jacob Barnes pitched a scoreless inning (one hit) in relief for the Leones in game two. RHP Robert Stock pitched 3.1 innings (3 R, 3 H, 3 BB, 6 K’s) for the Aguilas Cibaenas in a 5-3 win against the Estrellas Orientales.
Mexican Winter League :
Joey Meneses (LF) was 3 for 4 (two singles & HR) with an RBI and two runs scored for the Tomateros de Culiacán in a 7-5 win against the Charros de Jalisco. Jorge Flores (SS) went 3 for 5 (single & two doubles) with two runs scored for the Algodoneros de Guasave in an 11-8 win over the Cañeros de Los Mochis. RHP Orlando Gonzalezpitched 2/3 of an inning (0 R, 1 H - 9 pitches - 6 strikes) for the Naranjeros de Hermosillo in a 10-3 loss to the Jaguares de Nayarit.
Venezuela Winter League :
Simon Muzziotti (LF) was 3 for 5 (single & two doubles) with two runs scored and an RBI while Jose Godoy (C) was 2 for 4 (singles) with a run scored and three RBIs for the Aguilas del Zulia in a 10-7 loss to the Tigres de Aragua. RHP Andrew Schultz pitched a scoreless inning (1 H, 2 K’s) and RHP Delois Guerra pitched a perfect frame for the Tigres. Wilson Garcia (DH) went 2 for 3 (singles) with a walk and RBI for the Bravos de Margarita in a 8-3 loss to the Caribes de Anzoategui.
Puerto Rico Winter League :
LHP Tristan Garnett pitched 2/3 of an inning (1 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 K - 9 pitches - 5 strikes) and RHP Jose Peña Jr pitched 1/3 of an inning (3 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 0 K’s - 8 pitches - 4 strikes) for the Cangrejeros de Santurce in a 7-6 win against the Gigantes de Carolina.Vimael Machin went 2 for 4 (singles) for the Criollos de Caguas in a 1-0 win against the Leones de Ponce.
Australian Baseball League (ABL) :
Alirio Ferrebus (C) was 2 for 4 (singles) and Devin Saltiban (CF) 1 for 4 (single) in their ABL debuts for the Adelaide Giants in a 13-0 loss to the Perth Heat.
