Free agent RHP Colin Peluse has signed a minor league contract with the Phillies. The twenty-seven year old was the A’s ninth round draft choice in the 2019 draft from Wake Forest University. Last season at AA level Midland in the Texas League he appeared in 47 games (58 IP) posting a 2.64 ERA with 8 holds, 54 strikeouts and 12 walks. He pitched at the AAA level in 2024 after posting a 2.05 ERA in 28 appearances (52.2 IP) at Midland. He’s pitched at the AA and AAA levels since 2022.

Peluse features a fastball (92-95 mph) that has reached 98 along with a slider and change-up. He’s a big sturdy fella at 6’3” and has been a strike thrower especially since converting to a reliever in 2023. In his 175 minor league appearances he’s made 52 starts (45 from 2019 to 2022). Colin is from Middletown, Delaware and graduated from Middletown HS. In three seasons at Wake Forest he made 51 appearances (36 starts) and posted a 4.54 ERA in 204.1 IP.

From a fan’s view welcome to the Phillies Colin!
