Notes on Phillies and former Phillies participating in fall/winter leagues from games played on 11/15 and 11/16. Current Phillies bolded and underlined.
Dominican Winter League :
11/15 & 11/16 : League break for the Dominican Republic vs. Puerto Rico Showdown held 11/15 in New York.
League play resumes 11/17
Mexican Winter League :
11/15 : Donny Sands (DH) went 0 for 4 in his season debut for the Tucson Baseball Team in a 11-3 loss to the Charros de Jalisco. RHP Orlando Gonzalez pitched two innings (0 R, 0 H, 1 HB, 2 K’s - 24 pitches - 16 strikes) for the Naranjeros de Hermosillo in a 9-2 win against the Venados de Mazatlán. LHP Jared Wetherbee pitched seven innings (3 R, 4 H, 2 BB, 6 K’s - 100 pitches - 56 strikes) for the Jaguares de Nayarit in a 12-4 win over the Yaquis de Obregón. Joey Meneses (1B) was 4 for 5 (two singles, double & triple) with two runs scored and two RBIs (Joey was recently signed to a minor league contract by the A’s) and Luis Verdugo (SS) went 3 for 5 (two singles & double) with a run scored and RBI for the Tomateros de Culiacán in a 8-5 win against the Algodoneros de Guasave. Esteban Quiroz (2B) was 2 for 5 (singles) with two RBIs for Guasave.
11/16 : RHP Erich Uelmen pitched seven innings (2 R, 5 H, 2 BB, 2 K’s - 94 pitches - 63 strikes) for the Naranjeros de Hermosillo in a 3-2 ten inning loss to the Venados de Mazatlán. LHP Taylor Lehman pitched a scoreless inning (1 BB, 1 K) for the Jaguares de Nayarit in a 4-3 win over the Yaquis de Obregón. RHP Fernando Lozano pitched five innings (1 R, 1 H, 2 BB, 5 K’s) for the Águilas de Mexicali in a 4-3 win over the Cañeros de Los Mochis. Luis Verdugo (SS) was 2 for 4 (single & double) with a run scored and two RBIs for the Tomateros de Culiacán in a 8-2 win against the Algodoneros de Guasave.
Venezuela Winter League :
11/15 : Simon Muzziotti (LF) was 1 for 4 (HR) with an RBI for the Aguilas del Zulia in a 6-2 loss to the Bravos de Margarita. Leandro Pineda (PH) made his season debut going 0 for 1 for the Navegantes del Magallanes in a 4-1 win over the Tigres de Aragua.
11/16 : Rafael Marchan (C) went 2 for 4 (single & HR) with a walk, RBI and two runs scored for the Tiburones de La Guaira in a 14-6 loss to the Caribes de Anzoategui. Herlis Rodriquez (CF) went 4 for 4 (three singles, HR) with four RBIs, two runs scored and a walk for the Caribes.
Puerto Rico Winter League :
11/15 & 11/16 : League break for the Dominican Republic vs. Puerto Rico Showdown held 11/15 in New York.
League play resumes 11/18
Australian Baseball League :
11/16 : Rixon Wingrove (1B) was 1 for 3 (double) with a run scored for the Brisbane Bandits in a 1-0 win over the Sydney Blue Sox.
League play resumes 11/19
Fall High Performance Camp :
The Camp will conclude this week at Carpenter Complex and the MLB imposed black out period (minor leaguers not allowed to work at team facilities unless on rehab assignment) will begin - the blackout period ends on 1/1/26.
