Notes on Phillies and former Phillies participating in fall/winter leagues from games played on 11/19. Current Phillies bolded and underlined.
Dominican Winter League :
Cal Stevenson (CF) was 2 for 3 (singles) with a walk for the Tigres del Licey in a 5-4 loss to the Leones del Escogido. Johan Rojas (CF) was 2 for 4 (singles) with an RBI and stolen base for the Gigantes del Cibao in a 5-2 win over the Estrellas Orientales. Rodolfo Duran (C) went 3 for 3 (two singles and a double) with two RBIs for the Estrellas. Bryan De La Cruz (RF) was 1 for 4 (single) with a run scored and Rafael Lantigua was 0 for 1 with two walks for the Toros del Este in a 3-1 loss to the Aguilas Cibaenas.
Mexican Winter League :
RHP Pedro Reyes pitched 1.1 scoreless frames (1 H) for the Tomateros de Culiacán in a 8-3 win over the Venados de Mazatlán. Jorge Flores (SS) was 3 for 5 (singles) for the Algodoneros de Guasave in a 7-3 loss to the Yaquis de Obregón.
Venezuela Winter League :
Leandro Pineda (DH) went 1 for 2 (single) with two walks for the Navegantes del Magallanes in a 11-3 loss to the Caribes de Anzoategui. Rafael Marchan (C) went 1 for 4 (single) with a RBI for the Tiburones de La Guaira in 9-4 loss to the Leones del Caracas.
Puerto Rico Winter League :
Jan Hernandez (CF) was 2 for 4 (singles) for the
Gigantes de Carolina in a 10-1 win over the Leones de Ponce. William Simoneit (1B) went 2 for 4 (singles) for the Leones. RHP Jose Pena Jr pitched two innings (1 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s - 15 pitches - 11 strikes) and LHP Tristan Garnett went 1/3 of an inning (0 R, 2 H) for the Cangrejeros de Santurce in a 7-2 win over the Indios de Mayaguez. LHP Keylan Killgore pitched a scoreless inning (1 H, 2 BB) for the Indios. RHP Yacksel Rios pitched a scoreless inning (1 BB, 2 K’s) for the Criollos de Caguas in a 2-0 win over the Senadores de San Juan.
Australian Baseball League :
Rixon Wingrove (1B) was 1 for 4 (double) for the Brisbane Bandits in an 11-1 loss to the Sydney Blue Sox. Nick Ward (2B) was 3 for 4 (two singles & double) with a walk, run scored and two RBIs and Alirio Ferrebus (C) 1 for 4 (single) with an RBI for the Adelaide Giants in a 6-0 win against the Perth Heat. Devin Saltiban (CF) went 0 for 4 with a sacrifice fly RBI for Adelaide as well. RHP Todd Van Steensel pitched a perfect ninth inning for Adelaide.
