Notes on Phillies and former Phillies participating in fall/winter leagues from games played on 11/22. Current Phillies bolded and underlined.
Dominican Winter League :
Johan Rojas (CF) went 1 for 3 (single) for the Gigantes del Cibao in a 2-0 win over the Aguilas Cibaenas. RHP Ulises Joaquin pitched 1.1 perfect innings (1 K), LHP Jordi Martinez 1/3 of an inning (0 R,1 BB) and RHP Ofreidy Gomez 1.2 innings (0 R, 1 H, 2 K’s) for the Tigres del Licey in a 7-3 loss to the Estrellas Orientales. Felix Reyes (LF) went 3 for 4 (single, double & triple) with a run scored for the Toros del Este in a 5-4 win over the Leones del Escogido. Bryan De La Cruz (RF) was 1 for 4 (single) with a run scored for the Toros.
Mexican Winter League :
Nick Williams (RF) went 2 for 3 (single & double) for the Cañeros de Los Mochis in a 2-1 loss to the Jaguares de Nayarit. LHP Taylor Lehman pitched 1.2 innings (0 R, 2 H, 1 K) for the Jaguares.
Venezuela Winter League :
RHP Andrew Schultz pitched an inning (1 R, 1 H, 1 BB) for the Tigres de Aragua in a 9-6 loss to the Leones del Caracas. Leandro Pineda (DH) was 1 for 4 (single) for the Navegantes del Magallanes in a 1-0 loss to the Tiburones de La Guaira. Ali Castillo (1B) went 2 for 4 (single & triple) with a run scored and RBI for the Aguilas del Zulia in a 4-2 win over the Bravos de Margarita.
Puerto Rico Winter League :
Dalton Guthrie (CF) was 2 for 4 (single & double) with a walk, three RBIs and two runs scored while Jesmuel Valentin (2B) was 3 for 5 (two singles and triple) with a walk, three RBIs and two runs scored for the Leones de Ponce in a 11-4 win over the Criollos de Caguas. RHP Eric Garcia (0 R, 1 BB) pitched 1/3 of an inning for the Leones. RHP Andrew Baker pitched 1.1 innings (0 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 3 K’s - 15 pitches - 11 strikes) for the Cangrejeros de Santurce in a 1-0 win over the Indios de Mayaguez.
Australian Baseball League :
11/23 : The Adelaide and Perth game was postponed due to rain.
