Minor league free agent LHP Adam Seminaris has signed a 2026 minor league contract with the Phillies. The 27 year old pitched for the Arkansas Travelers at the AA level last season in the Seattle Mariners organization. He posted a 3.02 ERA in 24 appearances (22 starts) with a 7-7 record in 125.1 IP striking out 105 batters and walking 36. In his minor league career he has posted a 4.41 ERA in 109 appearances (87 starts) in 447 IP with 451 strikeouts and 148 walks.
Seminaris was the 2020 fifth round draft selection of the Los Angeles Angels from Long Beach State University. He was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers on 11/23/22 as part of a three player package to acquire outfielder Hunter Renfroe. The Brewers released him on 10/8/24 and he signed a one year free agent deal with the Mariners on 1/29/25.
He’s from Chino Hills, California and graduated from Ayala HS - at Long Beach State he recorded a 3.58 ERA in 40 appearances (27 starts) in 173.2 IP with 154 strikeouts and 43 walks. He’s a cross fire delivery pitcher who throws strikes - comes from a high three quarter arm slot. Has a four pitch mix - fastball will sit low nineties touching 93/94 mph with a curve, slider and changeup. Uses a deceptive delivery, a plus changeup and the ability to control/command the zone by pounding strikes as his repertoire. He reached the AAA level in 2022 and 2023 but pitched exclusively at the AA level in 2024 and 2025.
Adam provides much needed starting pitching depth for the Phillies organization at the AAA/AA levels with perhaps a shot to eventually contribute in the show.
From a fan’s view welcome to the Phillies Adam!

Happy Day, Happy Baseball ⚾️
