11/2/23 : Salt River 5 (14-13) Scottsdale 3 (13-13)
Left fielder Gabriel Rincones Jr went 2 for 4 with two singles and a walk, he also stole his 14th base of the season. second baseman Oliver Dunn was 2 for 5 with a single and double, he scored a run and drove in another. LHP Jordi Martinez pitched an inning - one unearned run, one hit, one walk and one strikeout - 26 pitches - 15 strikes.

11/1/23 : Mesa 7 (11-14) Scottsdale 0 (13-12)
Andrew Baker pitched an inning in relief (one hit, two walks, three strikeouts) - he inherited a no out bases loaded situation, the three inherited runners scored. Andrew threw 27 pitches - 12 for strikes. Second baseman Oliver Dunn went 2 for 4 with two singles and stole his 12th base of the season. Right fielder Gabriel Rincones Jr was 0 for 2 with two walks and first baseman Caleb Ricketts was 1 for 4 with a single. Rincones will participate in the leagues home run derby this weekend.
Dominican Winter League :
11/2/23 : Former Phillies RHP Victor Santos pitched three scoreless innings for Leones del Escogido allowing just two hits while striking out four batters in their 5-1 win against Estrellas Orientales.
11/1/23 : LHP Jhordany Mezquita pitched two thirds of an inning for Aguilas Cibaeñas (one run, one hit) in their 4-3 loss to Estrellas Orientales. Former Phillies minor leaguer Jonathan Guzman was 2 for 4 with two doubles for Leones del Escogido in their 5-3 win against Gigantes del Cibao. Former Phillies minor league RHP Ulises Joaquin pitched a scoreless inning for Tigres del Licey in their 7-1 loss to Toros del Este.
Venezuelan Winter League :
11/2/23 : Catcher Rafael Marchan went 2 for 4 with a single, double and walk for Tigres de Aragua in their 8-1 win over Caribes de Anzoategui. RHP Cristian Hernandez pitched an inning in relief for Caribes de Anzoategui (2 runs, 4 hits, 1 walk). Former Phillie Odubel Herrera made his season debut for Cardenales de Lara going 1 for 4 with a single in their 6-4 win over Tiburones de La Guaira.
Mexican Winter League :
11/1/23 : Second baseman Esteban Quiroz went 1 for 4 batting cleanup for Algodoneros de Guasave in their 8-2 loss to Yaquis de Obregón. It was his first appearance of the season. Esteban played this summer for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.

Today at the Complex :
Stopped by to check in on High Performance Camp which is now in week four with two more weeks to go. The fellas continue to go thru strength and conditioning drills and weightlifting sessions. Today a few put on the baseball gloves and had a catch afterwards on Roberts field. Chatted with some as they walked back to the locker room, the players are always cordial as I’m the lonely loser that’s out there to watch every now and again 🤪, they acknowledge me for that 🤓.
