Arizona Fall League :
The Phillies are part of the Scottsdale team. They were not scheduled to play on 11/8/23 - have clinched a playoff spot in Friday’s semi final post season game, the winner of that contest will play Surprise on Saturday for the league championship.
Dominican Winter League :
11/8/23 : Former Phillies minor league RHP Joel Cesar pitched a scoreless inning for Gigantes del Cibao in their 5-2 loss to Tigres del Licey. LHP Jhordany Mezquita pitched 1.1 innings for Aguilas Cibaeñas allowing no runs on two hits, he struck out one batter in the 7-2 loss to Toros del Este. Former Phillies RHP Ramon Rosso threw two scoreless frames for Aguilas Cibaeñas allowing one hit and one walk, he struck out five batters.
Venezuelan Winter League :
11/8/23 : RHP Carlos Betancourt notched his third win of the season for Aguilas del Zulia by pitching 1.1 innings of scoreless relief (no hits, two walks) in their 8-5 win against Caribes de Anzoategui. Catcher Rafael Marchan went 2 for 5 with a single and triple for Tigres de Aragua in their 11-6 victory over Bravos de Margarita. Simon Muzziotti went 2 for 4 with a single and double for Aguilas del Zulia in their 8-7 loss to Caribes de Anzoategui. RHP Eiberson Castellano pitched two thirds of an inning for Aguilas and yielded one unearned run on two hits and a walk. Former Phillie Odubel Herrera was 3 for 4 with two singles and a triple for Cardenales de Lara in their 6-3 loss to Leones del Caracas.
Puerto Rico Winter League :
11/8/23 : LHP Gabriel Cotto started and pitched 1.2 innings (1 R, 2 H, 4 BB, 2 K’s) for Ponce in their 4-1 loss to Carolina. Former Phillie second baseman Jesmuel Valentin was 2 for 4 for Ponce.
Mexican Winter League :
11/8/23 : Former Phillies RHP Bubby Rossman pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts for Águilas de Mexicali in their 8-3 loss to Charros de Jalisco.
Australian Baseball League :
League play begins November 17th.
