Notes on Phillies and former Phillies participating in fall/winter leagues from games played on 12/10. Current Phillies bolded and underlined.
Dominican Winter League :
Bryan De La Cruz (RF) went 1 for 4 (three run HR) with two walks, four RBIs and two runs scored while Yairo Munoz (2B) was 2 for 4 (double & HR) with a walk, two RBIs and a run scored and Rafael Lantigua (SS) was 2 for 5 (single & HR) with two RBIs and a run scored for the Toros del Este in a 12-5 win over the Aguilas Cibaenas. Robert Moore (2B) made his debut for the Aguilas going 1 for 4 (three run HR). Rodolfo Castro (3B) went 2 for 3 (singles) with a walk and two RBIs for the Estrellas Orientales in a 6-4 win against the Leones del Escogido. Jonathan Guzman (SS) was 2 for 4 (singles) for the Leones and RHP Robinson Martinez pitched a perfect inning (1 K) for Escogido as well. RHP Jimmy Cordero threw a perfect inning (2 K’s) for the Gigantes del Cibao in a 6-1 loss to the Tigres del Licey - Johan Rojas (CF) was 0 for 4 in the game for the Gigantes.
Mexican Winter League :
Nick Williams (RF) was 2 for 5 (single & double) with a run scored for the Cañeros de Los Mochis in a 9-5 loss to the Tomateros de Culiacán. Joey Meneses (LF) was 2 for 4 (singles) for the Tomateros. RHP Orlando Gonzalez pitched a perfect inning ( 1 K - 10 pitches - 8 strikes) for the Naranjeros de Hermosillo in a 10-4 win over the Algodoneros de Guasave.
Venezuela Winter League :
Leandro Pineda (DH) went 3 for 4 (single, double & HR) with two RBIs and three runs scored for the Navegantes del Magallanes in a 10-3 win over the Leones del Caracas. Aldrem Corredor (1B) was 2 for 3 (singles) with a walk and run scored for the Leones.
Puerto Rico Winter League :
RHP Andrew Baker picked up his first win (1.1 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 2 K’s) and RHP Jose Peña Jr earned his 5th hold (1.2 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 4 K’s) for the Cangrejeros de Santurce in a 8-7 win against the Gigantes de Carolina.
Colombian Winter League :
Nolan Beltran (2B) was 0 for 2 with two walks, a HBP and a stolen base for the Tigres de Cartagena in a 5-3 win against the Caimanes de Barranquilla.
Australian Baseball League :
Devin Saltiban (CF) was 2 for 4 (single & double) with a stolen base and RBI, Alirio Ferrebus (C) 1 for 4 (two run HR) with two runs scored, Nick Ward 2 for 5 (singles) and Mitchell Edwards 2 for 4 (single & double) with two runs scored for the Adelaide Giants in a 8-6 loss to the Brisbane Bandits. RHP Giuseppe Velasquez pitched 2.2 innings (3 R, 4 H, 2 BB, 4 K’s - 52 pitches - 35 strikes) and RHP Danyony Pulido went 1/3 of an inning (1 R, 1 H, two inherited runners scored - three run HR - 4 pitches - 2 strikes) for the Giants. Rixon Wingrove (1B) was 3 for 4 (two singles & double) with a walk, two RBIs and two runs scored for Brisbane.
