12/13/25 : Winter League Roundup

Notes on Phillies and former Phillies participating in fall/winter leagues from games played on 12/12 and 12/13 (Australia).  Current Phillies bolded and underlined.


Dominican Winter League :


Bryan De La Cruz (RF) went 2 for 5 (single & double) with an RBI and Yairo Munoz (3B) was 2 for 4 (two doubles) with two runs scored and an RBI for the Toros del Este in a 10-3 win over the Gigantes del Cibao. RHP Aneurys Zabala pitched a perfect inning and RHP Robinson Martinez a scoreless frame (2 H, 2 K’s) for the Leones del Escogido in a 7-3 win against the Aguilas Cibaenas. LHP Jhordany Mezquita pitched an inning (1 R, 2 H) for the Aguilas. RHP Adonis Medina started and pitched 4.2 innings (1 R, 3 H, 2 BB, 4 K’s) for the Tigres del Licey in a 4-1 win against the Estrellas Orientales.


Mexican Winter League :


Jon Singleton (1B) hit two home runs driving in four runs and Luis Verdugo (SS) went 3 for 4 (two singles & HR) for the Tomateros de Culiacán in a 7-3 win over the Tucson Baseball Team. RHP Orlando Gonzalez pitched 1.1 perfect innings (16 pitches - 12 strikes) for the Naranjeros de Hermosillo in a 8-5 win over the Águilas de Mexicali.


Venezuela Winter League :


Carlos Tocci (CF) was 1 for 3 (single) with two RBIs for the Tiburones de La Guaira in a 3-1 win against the Navegantes del Magallanes.


Puerto Rico Winter League :


RHP Carlos Francisco pitched a scoreless inning (1 BB, 1 K) for the Indios de Mayaguez in a 2-1 loss to the Senadores de San Juan.


Australian Baseball League :


The Adelaide Giants and Brisbane Bandits split a doubleheader.


In game one won by Adelaide 13-1 Nick Ward (1B) was 1 for 5 (HR) with two RBIs and two runs scored. Devin Saltiban (CF) was 1 for 4 (single) with a run scored and RBI extending his hitting streak to 12 games. Alirio Ferrebus (C) was 1 for 3 (single) with two RBIs and a stolen base. Jordan McArdle hit a pinch hit three run home run. RHP Danyony Pulidopitched a scoreless inning (1 BB, 2 K’s - 18 pitches - 9 strikes).


Brisbane won the second game 13-5 - Devin Saltiban (CF) extended his hitting streak to 13 games with a three run home run (1 for 3 - two runs scored) for Adelaide. While he’s not a former Phillie Robbie Perkins (DH) had an outstanding game for Brisbane going 4 for 5 (two singles and two home runs) with seven RBIs - he’s a veteran 31 year old catcher who played for Canberra in the league previously. Rixon Wingrove (1B) was 1 for 4 (single) with a walk in the game for Brisbane as well.


Colombian Winter League :


Nolan Beltran (2B) was 0 for 3 with two walks for the Tigres de Cartagena in a 9-8 loss against the Toros de Sincelejo.
