The 27 year old infielder announced his return to the Phillies earlier today on his instagram account. Last season with AA level Reading Wendell hit .266 with a .353 OBP - he posted 23 doubles, 12 home runs and 53 RBIs and stole 24 bases. He had a solid season - previously he's played in Red Sox, Brewers, Yankees and Braves organizations and enters his 11th season in minor league baseball. Wendell has played in 838 minor league games to date and has made 3,280 plate appearances.
