12/23/22 : Phillies reportedly sign RHP Craig Kimbrel

According to multiple reports the Phillies have reached a one year contract agreement ( $10 million ) with reliever Craig Kimbrel.

Kimbrel has had a great major league career - he’s pitched 13 seasons in the show and posted 394 saves in 442 chances.  Last season he pitched for the Dodgers ( 63 appearances - 3.75 ERA - 22 saves in 27 chances - 60 IP - 72 K’s - 28 walks ).

The 34 year old was the 2008 3rd round draft selection of the Atlanta Braves - he’s pitched for Atlanta, San Diego, Boston, both Chicago teams and the Dodgers.  Last season his fastball averaged 95 to 97 mph and his curve was in the 85 to 86 mph range ( Baseball Savant ).

Kimbrel helps to solidify the back end of the bullpen which will also feature Connor Brogdon, Matt Strahm, Seranthony Dominguez & Jose Alvarado.

From a fan’s view welcome to the Phillies Craig!
