Notes on Phillies and former Phillies participating in fall/winter leagues from games played on 12/26 and 12/27 (Australia). Current Phillies bolded and underlined.
Australian Baseball League :
Devin Saltiban (CF) had an outstanding game for the Adelaide Giants going 4 for 4 (two singles & two doubles) with five RBIs and two runs scored in a 12-10 loss to the Perth Heat. Alirio Ferrebus (C) also had a day going 3 for 5 (singles) with an RBI and run scored. Manolfi Jimenez (LF) made his Adelaide debut going 0 for 5, Raylin Heredia (RF} was 0 for 4 with an RBI and run scored. Jordan McArdle (DH) went 3 for 5 (two singles & double) with a run scored and RBI. Nick Ward (2B) was 0 for 4 with two walks, Robbie Glendinning (3B) 2 for 5 (singles) with a walk and Jose Colmenares (SS) 1 for 4 with a single, run scored and RBI. LHP Camron Hill started and pitched three innings (2 R, 2 H, 2 BB, 4 K’s - 60 pitches - 33 strikes). There were six current Phillies and three former Phillies in the ten man starting lineup 😳 for Adelaide. Rixon Wingrove (1B) went 3 for 8 (two singles & HR) with an RBI and run scored for the Brisbane Bandits in a doubleheader loss to the Sydney Blue Sox.
Mexican Winter League :
Esteban Quiroz (2B) was 2 for 3 (single & double) with two runs scored and an RBI for the Algodoneros de Guasave in a 10-1 win over the Charros de Jalisco. RHP Alan Rangel pitched a perfect inning (two strikeouts - 11 pitches - 8 strikes) for the Naranjeros de Hermosillo in a 2-1 victory against the Tucson Baseball Team.
Venezuela Winter League :
Willians Astudillo (1B) went 2 for 5 (singles) with two runs scored for the Cardenales de Lara in a 15-13 win over the Leones del Caracas. Leandro Pineda (LF) was 2 for 4 (singles) with a walk and three runs scored for the Navegantes del Magallanes in a 17-6 win over the Tiburones de La Guaira. Wilson Garcia (DH) was 2 for 3 (single & double) for the Bravos de Margarita in a 2-1 loss to the Tigres de Aragua.
Puerto Rico Winter League :
RHP Andrew Baker pitched a scoreless inning (1 H, 2 K’s) for the Cangrejeros de Santurce in a 6-0 win against the Criollos de Caguas. Jesmuel Valentin (2B) went 2 for 3 (single & double) with an RBI for the Leones de Ponce in a 5-3 win against the Leones de Ponce.
