Dominican Winter League :
12/3/24 action : former Phillies minor league infielder Jonathan Guzman went 2 for 3 for Leones del Escogido in a 8-7 loss to Tigres del Licey. Former Phillies infielder Jean Segura was 2 for 4 in the game with an RBI for the Leones.
Australian Baseball League :
The league only plays on Fridays and weekends.
Mexican Winter League :
12/3/24 action : former Phillies minor league RHP Efrain Contreras pitched five innings (1 R, 4 H, 0 BB, 9 K’s) for Tomateros de Culiacán in a 6-3 win against Venados de Mazatlán.
Venezuela Winter League :
12/3/24 action : former Phillies RHP Ricardo Pinto upped his record to 4-1 by pitching 5.2 innings (1 R, 6 H, 1 BB, 7 K’s - 92 pitches - 59 strikes) for Tiburones de La Guaira in a 10-1 win over Leones del Caracas. Former Phillies outfielder Simon Muzziotti went 3 for 4 with an RBI for Aguilas del Zulia in a 10-4 loss to Navegantes del Magallanes. It was his second consecutive three hit game. Former Phillies Odubel Herrera (Tigres de Aragua), Herlis Rodriquez (Caribes de Anzoategui) and Cesar Hernandez (Tiburones de La Guaira) each had two hits in their respective games.
Puerto Rico Winter League :
12/3/24 action : former Phillies minor league outfielder Jan Hernandez went 2 for 4 with a walk and two runs scored for Gigantes de Carolina in a 11-3 win against Criollos de Caguas.
Panama Winter League :
12/3/24 action : games were cancelled due to rain.
Nicuaraga Winter League :
Former Phillies minor league infielder Raul Rivas is playing for the Indios de Boer and is hitting .319 (22 for 69) with a home run and 14 RBIs. Other former Phillies playing in the league include outfielder Jiandido Tromp.
Colombia Winter League :
Former Phillies minor league outfielder Jhailyn Ortiz is playing for the Toros de Sincelejo. Current Phillies minor league infielder Felix Reyes is playing for Leones de Barranquilla and current minor league infielder Nolan Beltran is playing for the Tigres de Cartagena.
Other News :
Former Phillies minor league RHP Kevin Gowdy has signed a minor league contract with the Toronto Blue Jays which includes a non-roster invitation to big league spring training. He pitched in the Dodgers system last year at the AAA level as a reliever and reportedly was hitting 97 mph on the radar gun! Kevin is a good young man and we wish him well.
