Dominican Winter League :
12/5/24 action : former Phillies minor league catcher Deivi Grullon went 3 for 5 (two singles & HR) with three RBIs and center fielder Johan Rojas went 1 for 3 (single) for Gigantes del Cibao in an 11-0 win against Estrellas Orientales. Former Phillies minor league RHP Aneurys Zabala struck out the side in a perfect inning of relief for Leones del Escogido in a 9-4 loss to Toros del Este.
Australian Baseball League :
The Phillies contingent plays for the Adelaide Giants.
12/5/24 : Adelaide 9 (7-7) Brisbane 5 (3-10)
Catcher Lou Albrecht was 2 for 5 (single & HR) with three RBIs. Third baseman Trent Farquhar went 1 for 4 (single) with a walk and scored twice. DH Luis Caicuto walked once in five plate appearances and scored a run. Former Phillies minor league first baseman Rixon Wingrove went 3 for 4 (two singles & HR) with four RBIs. Former Phillies minor league outfielder Jordan McArdle went 2 for 4 (single & HR) with a walk and two runs scored.
Mexican Winter League :
12/5/24 action : former Phillies minor league LHP JP Woodward threw another scoreless inning in relief for Venados de Mazatlán in a 8-6 win over Tomateros de Culiacán. The 26 year old current free agent has now appeared in 27 games (25.1 IP) and has a 2.84 ERA and has not allowed a run in his last 12 appearances (12 IP) posting 15 K’s against just one walk and allowing five hits during that span.
Venezuela Winter League :
12/5/24 action : Leandro Pineda was 1 for 3 with a single, walk, run scored and RBI for Navegantes del Magallanes in a 8-6 win over Leones del Caracas. Former Phillies minor league first baseman Wilson Garcia went 3 for 4 (two singles & double) for Tiburones de La Guaira in a 5-3 loss to Caribes de Anzoategui. Former Phillies minor league RHP Max Castillo pitched a seven inning complete game (1 R, 4 H, 1 BB, 3 K’s) for Cardenales de Lara in a 4-1 win against Bravos de Margarita.
Puerto Rico Winter League :
12/5/24 action : former Phillies minor league outfielder Danny Ortiz went 3 for 5 with an RBI for Indios de Mayaguez in a 6-1 win over Gigantes de Carolina.
Colombia Winter League :
12/5/24 action : First baseman Felix Reyes went 1 for 4 (single) with a walk for Leones de Barranquilla in a 9-3 loss to Tigres de Cartegna. Felix is hitting .310 (9 for 29) with 3 doubles and 7 RBIs on the season and has a .414 OBP. Former Phillies minor league outfielder Jhailyn Ortiz went 2 for 3 (single & double) with a walk, two runs scored and an RBI for the Toros de Sincelejo in a 15-13 win against Vaqueros de Monteria.
