Notes on Phillies and former Phillies participating in fall/winter leagues from games played on 12/7. Current Phillies bolded and underlined.
Dominican Winter League :
Johan Rojas (CF) went 2 for 5 (singles) with a run scored for the Gigantes del Cibao in a 8-7 win over the Estrellas Orientales. Rodolfo Duran (C) was 1 for 4 (double) with two RBIs for the Estrellas. Cal Stevenson (RF-CF-LF) went 2 for 4 (singles) with an RBI for the Tigres del Licey in a 2-1 win over the Leones del Escogido.
Mexican Winter League :
Esteban Quiroz (2B) was 1 for 2 (double) with a walk and two RBI’s for the Algodoneros de Guasave in a 7-6 loss to the Venados de Mazatlán.
Venezuela Winter League :
Ali Castillo (1B) went 2 for 5 (singles) with an RBI and run scored for the Aguilas del Zulia in a 13-10 loss to the Cardenales de Lara.
Puerto Rico Winter League :
RHP Carlos Francisco pitched a perfect inning for the Indios de Mayaguez in a 2-1 win against the Senadores de San Juan. Jesmuel Valentin (2B) was 1 for 2 (double) with a walk and RBI for the Leones de Ponce in a 4-3 loss to the Gigantes de Carolina. RHP Andrew Baker pitched an inning (1 R, 2 H, 1 BB, 3 K’s) for the Cangrejeros de Santurce in a 9-3 win over the Criollos de Caguas.
