Like the tradition of Groundhog Day Phillies Spring Training can’t “officially” commence until we see the Equipment Truck arrive so today we were up bright and early and at the complex for our annual tradition.
We were in greeting position at the front gates of the stadium parking lot shortly after 7 AM to beat the truck greeting crowd ( that would be two people- my wife Barb and I 😂).
At 7: 20 AM the two trucks pulled in meaning that the six and half week course of Phillies spring training is equipped to begin!
The trucks are being unloaded by multiple Phillies personnel with an assist from the Mayor of Clearwater. I’ve yet to be asked to help with the occasion - of course I’d gladly do so 🥸.
