The Phillies have signed 31 year old catcher Cam Gallagher to a minor league contract and extending an invitation to major league spring training  - he’s played in 227 major league games with Kansas City (2017 to 2022) and Cleveland (2023).  Originally drafted by the Royals in the second round of the 2011 draft from Manheim Township HS in Lancaster, PA he was the Guradian’s backup catcher last season after serving many years as  Salvador Perez’s backup.  Gallagher is known for his well rounded receiving skills.
