Here’s a list of former Phillies who will be training with and attempting to earn a major league roster spot with other organizations this spring that are either on the 40 man roster or have received a non-roster invitation - at the least they hope to secure a minor league spot in their respective organizations.

Former Phillies transitioning to Coaching or Scouting :
Josh Tols has accepted a position as Rehab Pitching Coach with the Minnesota Twins - he will be based at their training complex in Fort Myers, Florida. Josh was a LHP who reached the AAA level with Lehigh Valley in 2019 - he was released in 2021.
Josh Ockimey has accepted a scouting position with the Boston Red Sox. Josh played first base for both Reading and Lehigh Valley last season.
Thomas Eshelman has accepted the role of pitching coach with the San Diego Padres High A Affiliate Lake Elsinore. He pitched at AAA Lehigh Valley with the Phillies and in the major leagues with the Orioles.
Former Phillies Coaches land new assignments :
Bobby Meacham has taken a job as bench coach the the AAA affiliate of the Colorado Rockies - the Albuquerque Isotopes.
John Russell has taken the helm of the Seattle Mariners AAA level team Tacoma Rainers after a four year absence from pro baseball. He formerly managed the Pittsburgh Pirates from 2008 to 2010.
Ari Arudt will be the low A level hitting coach at Colombia for the Kansas City Royals organization - he was the hitting coach at Jersey Shore last season.
Jesus Azuaje has been given his first managerial assignment - the former Phillies minor league outfielder will manage the Arizona Complex League Royals after serving as hitting coach at Low A Colombia in the Kansas City organization last year.
Jason Ochart has taken the role of Director of Hitting Development and Program Design with the Boston Red Sox - he was the Phillies minor league hitting coordinator last season.
Joe Jordan ( former Phillies Player Development Director ) has moved to the Texas Rangers from the Atlanta Braves in scouting.
