Game Summary : Phillies 6 Tigers 4
Isaac Parades hit a long two run home run over the Tiki Bar for Detroit in the first inning.
Jeff Mathis led off the third inning for the Phillies in the third inning.
Brad Miller hit a solo home run in the fourth inning. Luke Williams hit a three run homer in the same inning scoring Matt Joyce ( walked ) and Roman Quinn ( singled ) in front of him.
Robbie Grossman homered for the Tigers onto the right field berm in the sixth inning. Kennett Square resident Geoff Bosley retrieved the ball for his two sons ... three on the day - one in BP and another that right fielder Matt Joyce tossed to them. Eric Haase hit an RBI double off the wall in right field to score Detroit’s fourth run.
Brad Miller singled in the sixth inning, went to third on a Matt Joyce single and scored on an errant throw to second base when Johan Rojas swiped second.
On The Hill :
Spencer Howard ( 92-96 FB ) tossed two innings ... perfect second frame. He struck out four batters including punching out the side in the second inning. Strong outing yielding just two hits ... two run dinger in first inning on a hanger was only mistake. Outstanding change up today.
Chase Anderson ( 91-93 FB ) threw two scoreless innings allowing one hit and two walks. He battled out of a two on no out jam in the third inning and got a ground ball double play to end the fourth inning.
Tony Watson ( 89-92 FB ) struck out two batters in a scoreless inning, he allowed a single.
Hector Rondon ( 94-95 FB ) yielded two runs on three hits including a double and home run in the sixth inning.
Brandon Kintzler ( 91-92 FB ) threw a scoreless seventh frame with one K and one BB.
Bryan Mitchell ( 95-97 FB ) pitched a perfect 8th inning ... one strikeout. 🔥
Damon Jones ( 93-95 FB ) struck out the side in the ninth to finish it. One hit and one walk allowed.
At The Plate :
Brad Miller singled twice and homered in three at bats. Matt Joyce singled twice and walked in three plate appearances.
Roman Quinn hit a hard liner to the warning track in center field his first AB and a line drive single to right field his second AB. He beat out a bunt in the sixth inning for his second hit of the game.
Luke Williams hammered a three run home run to left field in the fourth inning.
Jeff Mathis homered.

Third baseman Luke Williams made a diving snag on a hard liner in the sixth inning.
