Summary :
Atlanta jumped out to an early four run lead in the first inning and never looked back en-route to a lopsided victory. The Braves pounded out 15 hits including two home runs ( Ozzie Albies & Ehire Adrianza ). Adrianza’s home run was a grand slam. Marcel Ozuna also had four RBIs in the game for Atlanta on two hits, one a double.
Scott Kingery stayed hot for the Phillies going 2 for 2 with a double. Nick Castellanos & Dustin Peterson homered.
At the Plate : 9 H, 3 BB, 6 K’s
Pitching :
Lost in the midst of the shellacking were the efforts of three minor league hurlers - LH Jakob Hernandez threw a perfect frame striking out a batter - 10 pitches - 7 strikes. RH Trey Cobb went 1 1/3 innings - 0 R, 0 H, 2 BB, 4 K’s - 31 pitches - 17 strikes, the sidewinder was taken in the minor league portion of the Rule 5 draft from the Mets organization. Lefty Keylan Killgore retired the only batter he faced on 4 pitches, 3 were strikes.
Minor League Spring Training :
Mental performance, defensive drills, batting, side bullpens, live bullpens and weight training were the practice sessions of the day.

Twenty five pitchers threw morning side bullpen sessions on the seven mounds in front of the David Montgomery Training Center, some performed their work on the new state of the art pitching lab mound inside the training center, pitchers who threw today - Alex McFarlane, Tommy McCollum, James McArthur, Gunner Mayer, Tyler McKay, David Parkinson, Zach Linginfelter, Josh Bortka, Cristian Hernandez, Alex Rao, Spencer Van Scoyoc, Tristan Garnett, Gabriel Cotto, Victor Vargas, Brett Schulze, Eduar Segovia, Rafael Marcano, Jordan Fowler, Chase Antle, Rodolfo Sanchez, Ty Collins, Jason Ruffcorn, Nathan Karaffa, Jace Vines & JP Woodward

Live Bullpens :
Four pitchers threw live bullpen sessions on Ashburn and Roberts fields - Ethan Lindow, Max Kuhns, Victor Lopez & Matt Russell
World Baseball Classic Notes :
Nick Ward was 1 for 2 with two walks and scored three runs in Team Great Britain’s 7-5 win over Team Colombia. Garrett Stubbs was 2 for 5 with a double and 2 RBIs for Team Israel in their 3-1 win over Team Nicaragua.
JT Realmuto went 2 for 2 with 2 RBIs and Trea Turner homered and drove in two runs in Team USA’s 12 to 1 victory over Team Canada last evening.
RHP Noah Skirrow stepped up when needed for Team Canada today ( 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K - 58 pitches - 40 strikes ) in their 5-0 win against Team Colombia. Noah finished last season strong ( 3.00 ERA in 4 starts - 21 IP ) with the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs - was signed by the Phillies in June of 2020 as an un-drafted free agent from Liberty University.
