Joey Votto hit a first inning home run to put Toronto up 1-0. The Phillies scored three runs in the second inning - Jake Cave reached on an error and then stole second, he scored on a double by Cristian Pache. Jordan Luplow was hit by a pitch, both he and Pache scored on a double by Rodolfo Castro.
Jake Cave doubled in the fourth inning, he scored on a single by Kyle Schwarber.
Toronto scored twice in the sixth inning on a single, double and fielding error (missed fly ball lost in the sun) by center fielder Cristian Pache.
Jordan Luplow clubbed a home run in the bottom of the sixth to score a run.
Toronto tied the game with single runs in each of the eighth and ninth innings - Ernie Clement homered in the 8th and a double and single scored a run in the ninth.
At the Plate : 5 R, 9 H, 1 BB, 9 K’s
Jordan Luplow had two hits (single & HR) in two AB’s. Cristian Pache, Jake Cave and Rodolfo Castro each doubled.
