3/6/21 : Grapefruit League Game Seven

Game Summary : Blue Jays 7 Phillies 1 - Seven Innings


Toronto’s George Springer reached base on a fielding error by second baseman CJ Chatham in the third inning. He scored on an RBI single by Bo Bichette.


Odubel Herrera singled to start the fourth inning, he advanced to third base on a double by Alec Bohm and scored on a subsequent wild pitch.


Pinch runner Otto Lopez scored for Toronto on a passed ball with the bases loaded in the fourth inning. Lopez was running for Lourdes Gurriel Jr who had singled and advanced to third base on two walks.


Lopez singled in the sixth inning for the Blue Jays, he advanced to third base on a throwing error by Phillies first baseman Luke Williams and scored on a single by Logan Warmoth. Chris Beck singled to score Warmoth. Cullen Large hit a three run home run.


On The Hill :


Adonis Medina started and pitched a scoreless inning allowing just one hit. Fastball sat in the 92-94 mph range, also threw changeup and slider. 11 pitches - 7 strikes.


David Hale pitched the second inning and yielded two singles. FB range 91-93, threw curve and changeup also. 14 pitches - 9 strikes.


Hector Rondon struck out two batters in the third inning. His fastball range was 93-95 mph and he also threw a mid 80’s slider. Rondon gave up an unearned run on one hit. 11 pitches - 8 strikes.


Damon Jones featured three pitches FB (93-95 mph), curve and slider. He struggled with command issuing two walks and also yielded a single. Gave up an unearned run when an errant pitch was charged as a passed ball to Catcher Jeff Mathis with bases loaded. 22 pitches - 11 strikes.


Enyel De Los Santos pitched the fifth inning. His fastball sat between 94-97 mph, also threw a slider ( 82-85 mph ). Enyel dominated and struck out the side in a perfect frame 🔥💪. 17 pitches - 10 strikes.


David Paulino featured a 93-95 mph fastball, change up and a curve. He yielded five runs on four singles, a walk and a home run in the sixth inning. The inning was rolled with just one out recorded. 21 pitches - 11 strikes.


At The Plate : Phillies held to three hits today


Odubel ( wearing # 93 today ) hit a long fly to the right field warning track in his first AB, singled and scored in his second plate plate appearance. He went one for three.


Travis Jankowski singled and walked in three plate appearances.


Alec Bohm doubled.
