In the third inning Portland’s Tyler McDonough singled to center field to score a run, on the play he tried to advance to second base when he saw second base vacant however first baseman Carlos De La Cruz followed him and center fielder Johan Rojas threw a strike to De La Cruz who tagged McDonough out!  It was impressive on two notes, De La Cruz is new to the first base position and to display the baseball savvy to follow the runner should make his coaches proud, secondly Rojas was heads up to lead Carlos with his throw - good stuff 🤓.
