4/19/24 : Minor League Roundup


International League ( AAA ) - Lehigh Valley 9 (8-8)  Scranton-Wilkes Barre 3 (12-6)

Moosic, PA - PNC Field


Summary :


Simon Muzziotti singled to lead off the game, Kody Clemens walked and Darick Hall singled to load the bases.  Esteban Quiroz walked to score a run.  Aramis Garcia doubled to plate three.


A single and double scored a run for SWB in the bottom of the first inning.


Cal Stevenson doubled in the fourth, went to third on a groundout and scored on a sacrifice fly by Simon Muzziotti.


Darick Hall and David Dahl singled in the sixth, they moved up a bag on a sacrifice bunt by Scott Kingery.  Hall scored on a sacrifice fly by Esteban Quiroz.


SWB scored twice in the fifth on a walk, error, ground out and a couple wild pitches.


Cal Stevenson walked in the 6th, stole second and scored on a single by Simon Muzziotti.  Muzziotti stole second and scored on a single by Kody Clemens.


David Dahl homered in the ninth inning.


At Bat : 9 R, 10 H, 6 BB, 8 K’s


Simon Muzziotti, David Dahl, Darick Hall and Aramis Garcia each had two hits.  Garcia and Cal Stevenson doubled.  Dahl homered.


On The Hill : 3 R, 5 H, 5 BB, 10 K’s


Tyler Phillips pitched six innings, 3 R - 2 earned, 4 H, 3 BB, 6 K’s - 94 pitches - 56 strikes.  Griff McGarry pitched a scoreless inning, 0 H, 1 BB, 3 K’s 👀.  Andrew Bellatti pitched a perfect inning with one strikeout.  Ryan Burr pitched an inning - 0 RBI, 1 H, 1 BB, 0 K’s.

Summary :


Marcus Lee Sang and Gabriel Rincones Jr walked in the fourth inning.  They both scored on a double by Carson Taylor.  Caleb Ricketts singled to score Taylor.


Three singles scored a run for Binghamton in the fifth.


Reading scored four runs in the sixth. Caleb Ricketts and Trevor Schwecke singled, Ricketts moved to third on a fly ball.  Schwecke stole second base, a passed ball scored Ricketts.  Jim Haley doubled to score a run.  Casey Martin homered to score two more.


Binghamton scored a run in the fifth on three singles and another in the sixth on a double and single.


Robert Moore singled in the ninth inning, stole second and scored on a single by Carson Taylor.


On The Hill :  2 R, 8 H, 2 BB, 16 K’s


Robinson Pina pitched five innings - 1 R, 5 H, 1 BB, 9 K’s.  Zach Haake pitched two innings, 1 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 3 K’s.  Max Lazar pitched two perfect innings - 4 strikeouts.


At Bat : 8 R, 11 H, 4 BB, 7 K’s


Carson Taylor (two singles & double, three RBIs ) had three hits.  Casey Martin (single & HR) and Caleb Ricketts (two singles) each had two hits.  Jim Haley doubled.

Bryan Rincon doubled in the first inning and scored on a single by Otto Kemp.


Emaarion Boyd singled and stole second base in the second inning, he scored on a single by Andrick Nava.


Troy Schreffler homered in the fourth inning. Emaarion Boyd singled, stole second, went to third on a fly out and scored on a wild pitch.


Cade Fergus singled in the 5th inning, stole second, went to third on a groundout and scored on a single by Felix Reyes.


A single, stolen base and single scored a run for Brooklyn in the 8th inning.


Felix Reyes walked in the 8th inning, went to third on a single by Troy Schreffler and scored on a single by Emaarion Boyd.


Brooklyn scored two runs in the ninth on two doubles, a single and ground out.


On The Hill : 3 R, 7 H, 3 BB, 16 K’s


Eiberson Castellano was outstanding - 4 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 2 BB, 8 K’s - 76 pitches - 45 strikes.  Nate Karaffa went two innings, 0 R, 1 H, 0 BB, 2 K’s.  Wesley Moore pitched two innings, 1 R, 2 H, 1 BB, 5 K’s.  Chuck King pitched an inning, 2 R, 3 H, 0 BB, 0 K’s


At Bat : 6 R, 12 H, 1 BB, 11 K’s


Emaarion Boyd had three hits (singles) and two stolen bases. Otto Kemp, Troy Schreffler and Felix Reyes and each had two hits.  Bryan Rincon doubled and Troy Schreffler homered.

Summary :


Dunedin scored a run in the first inning on two walks, a hit batter and ground out.


In the second inning Keaton Anthony doubled, went to third on a grounder and scored on a balk.


Dunedin scored two runs in the bottom of the second on a walk, double and single.  The benches cleared in the frame when Dunedin’s Victor Arias took exception with a tag out placed on him by shortstop Trent Farquhar.  Second baseman Nikau Pouaka-Grego came to his teammates defense, Arias shoved him and the benches cleared.  Skipper Marty Malloy was ejected for disagreeing with the umpires decision to eject both Arias and Pouaka-Grego.


Trent Farquhar doubled in the third inning, he scored on a single by Pierce Bennett.  Kehden Hettiger and Jordan Viars each singled to load the bases.  A run scored on a ground out by Keaton Anthony.


Dunedin scored two in the third on a single and two doubles.  They added one in the fourth on three walks and a ground out.


Pierce Bennett reached on an error in the fifth, Kehden Hettiger and Jordan Viars walked to load the bases.  A wild pitch scored Bennett.  A run scored on a ground out by Keaton Anthony.


Cristian Feliz homered for Dunedin in the fifth.


AJ Shaver hit a two run home run in the 8th inning scoring Luis Caicuto (walked) ahead of him.


Trent Farquhar singled in the ninth inning, Kehden Hettiger walked.  Jordan Viars hit a clutch single to score a run.  Keaton Anthony singled to score two more runs!


On The Hill : 7 R, 12 H, 9 BB, 10 K’s


Jake Eddington pitched two innings - 3 R, 2 H, 4 BB, 2 K’s.  Brandon Beckel pitched two innings, 3 R, 3 H, 3 BB, 1 K.  Braydon Tucker pitched three innings - 1 R, 5 H, 1 BB, 4 K’s.  Saul Teran pitched two innings, 0 R, 2 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s.


At Bat : 10 R, 11 H, 5 BB, 7 K’s


Trent Farquhar, Keaton Anthony, Jordan Viars and AJ Shaver each had two hits.  Farquhar and Anthony each doubled.  Shaver homered and had two RBIs.  Anthony posted four RBIs.
