Two wild pitches moved Mendez to third base. William Bergolla walked and then stole second base. Mendez scored on a sacrifice fly to deep right center field by Andrick Nava. Justin Crawford walked and stole second base. A wild pitch scored Bergolla. Bryan Rincon singled to score Crawford.

Casey impressed in spring camps - mid nineties fast ball, two good secondaries - right at league average age wise at 22 - big body - good mechanics -in three outings this season (two starts) has posted a 0.79 ERA in 11.1 innings. Drew Garrett dominated in relief, outstanding! - 2.2 innings, 0 R, 0 H, 0 BB, 4 K’s - faced seven batters - threw some nasty secondaries (cutter, slider & curve) for swing and misses. Chase Hopewell finished it with a perfect ninth inning - three groundouts.
The Threshers turned three double plays in the game.
