Summary :
Roman Quinn walked to lead off the bottom of the first inning, he went to third base on a single by Donny Sands and scored on an errant throw. Darick Hall then smashed a two run home run over the right field wall to make it 3-0 Iron Pigs.
Rochester scored a run in the top of the fourth on an RBI double by Joey Meneses.
Lehigh Valley scored five runs in the fourth inning - Drew Maggi & Austin Wynns walked - Ronald Torreyes reached on a fielders choice on which Maggi scored on a fielding error. Donny Sands walked to load the bases - Darick Hall crushed a ball off the right field wall for a double to score two runs. Nick Maton singled to score Sands and Hall.
Rochester scored a run in the top of the 5th on a Jake Noll double. They plated two more in the inning on a Joey Meneses single.
Rochester scored again in the sixth on a walk, throwing error by Dillon Maples and single. They scored another run in the top of the 8th inning - Joey Meneses got his third hit of the game.
Donny Sands doubled in the bottom of the 8th inning - Darick Hall smoked a titanic long drive ( over 400 feet ) behind the right center field wall for his second dinger of the game to plate two more Iron Pig runs !
The Red Wings put two runners on with a walk and single in the top of the 9th inning - Joey Meneses then produced his fourth hit and RBI to score another Rochester run. They scored another on a single.

Summary :
Josh Ockimey and Logan O’Hoppe drew walks in the first inning, Madison Stokes singled to score Ockimey.
Vito Friscia hit a home run in the second inning - his first at the AA level of play - it was a blast over the center field wall.
Taylor Gushue hit a three run home run for Harrisburg in the 6th inning.
In the bottom of the 8th inning Logan O’Hoppe reached on a throwing error by the Harrisburg shortstop, he went to second on a single by Madison Stokes and scored on a single by Jack Conley. Vito Friscia singled to score Stokes.
On The Hill :

Simon Muzziotti left the game in the third inning with an apparent injury. Logan O’Hoppe threw out a base stealer at second base from his knees in the ninth inning - clutch !

South Atlantic League ( High A ) - Jersey Shore 4 ( 5-9 ) Asheville 2 ( 2-12 )
Lakewood, NJ - Shoretown Ballpark
Summary :
Baron Radcliff walked in the fourth inning, stole second, went to third on a DJ Stewart single and scored on a throwing error by the Asheville catcher when Stewart stole second base.
Mick Abel was outstanding on the hill going five innings, he had all of his arsenal working with both location and movement, the fastball was consistent in the 95 to 98 mph range. The young man can dominate an opponent when he’s on.
Johan Rojas doubled in the bottom of the fifth, he then stole third base. Ethan Wilson walked and stole second base, Casey Martin walked to load the bases. Nick Matera doubled to score two runs. Baron Radcliff hit a sacrifice fly to score Martin.
Asheville scored a run in the sixth inning on a single, walk, groundout and wild pitch. They added another run on a walk, groundout, wild pitch and sac fly in the 8th frame.
On The Hill :

The Blue Claws stole four more bases in the game : DJ Stewart, Baron Radcliff, Johan Rojas and Ethan Wilson. They lead all of minor league baseball in team stolen bases with 44 in just 14 games.

Summary :
Andrew Painter was spectacular ! The 19 year old pitched five scoreless innings and struck out 14 batters - 13 in a row to end his outing 🔥👍. He flat out dominated batters with a fastball sitting in the 96 to 100 mph range and a wipeout slider exploding at 78 to 86 mph.
The Threshers scored twice in the sixth inning - Jadiel Sanchez doubled and scored when Marcus Lee Sang doubled. Anthony Quirion doubled to score Lee Sang.
Clearwater loaded the bases in the 8th on a walk by Aldrem Corredor and two hit batters ( Lee Sang & Quirion ). A balk call then allowed Corredor to score.
On The Hill :

Clearwater pitchers struck out 22 Tampa hitters and walked none allowing just two hits - dominant effort 👏⚾️. They’ve shut out the Yankees low A team two consecutive games.

Extended Spring Training :
The team played a 10 AM game at the Blue Jays complex in Dunedin. Spectators are not allowed in there so I can’t provide a report. They won’t honor my “credentials” 🤦♂️.
