As we enter the fourth week of the season for the Low A to Double A affiliates and the fifth week for Triple A here’s a look at where things stand for the Phillies affiliates at present.
AAA Lehigh Valley : International League
Team record : 9-9
Amongst League leaders : Outfielder Jordan Luplow is 2nd in batting average amongst qualified hitters - .377 in 61 AB’s, 7th in slugging - .672, 7th in OPS - 1.081, 9th in runs scored - 23. Utility player Scott Kingery is tied for 5th in HR’s - 5 and 12th in slugging amongst qualified hitters - .615. RHP Tyler Phillips is 2nd in IP - 22.2 and 10th in BAA amongst qualified pitchers - .210. RHP David Buchanan is 4th in WHIP - 1.00 and 8th in BAA - .203 amongst qualified pitchers.
The IronPigs have scored 100 runs and yielded 112 - a good chunk of the runs against them came in a 28-10 loss to Durham on 4/9/24 - in their other 17 contests they have outscored opponents 90 to 84. They are 12th in the 20 team league in runs scored (100), 13th in hits (152), 13th in HR’s (21), 11th in RBIs (96), last in walks (61), 8th in batting average (.257), 15th in OBP (.331), 10th in slugging (.413) and 14th in OPS (.744). On the pitching side they are 17th in ERA (5.73), 6th in fewest hits allowed (153), 14th in runs allows (112 total - 98 earned), 3rd in fewest walks (77), 19th in strikeouts (141), 12th in WHIP (1.49) and 13th in BAA (.261).
AA Reading : Eastern League
Team Record : 6-9 - last in Northeast Division
Amongst League leaders : RHP Max Lazar is tied for third in saves (2). LHP Matt Osterberg is 9th amongst qualified pitchers in ERA (1.98 in 13.2 IP). OF Gabriel Rincones Jr is 6th in runs scored (10), tied for third in HR’s (3), tied for 3rd in walks (8) and 10th in OPS amongst qualified hitters. OF Marcus Lee Sang is tied for the league lead in walks (10). Infielder Robert Moore is tied for 7th in OBP (.415) amongst qualified hitters.
The Fightin Phils have scored 62 runs and yielded 91. The pitching staff has allowed more hits than any team in the Eastern League (133) as well as runs (91 total - 79 earned), they are 11th in the 12 team league in WHIP (1.55), BAA (.265) and ERA (5.72). On the hitting side they are last in hits (94), 2nd in walks (64), second in most strikeouts (146), last in batting average (.200) and slugging (.311) and 11th in OPS (.615).
High A Jersey Shore : South Atlantic League
Team Record : 8-7 - 4th in North Division
Amongst League leaders : Outfielder Justin Crawford is tied for 5th in hits (13), 4th in HR’s (2), tied for 5th in stolen bases (7), 9th in batting average (.317 in 41 AB’s), 9th in OBP (.440 in 50 PA’s), 12th in slugging (.488) and 9th in OPS (.928) amongst qualified players. Catcher Jordan Dissin is tied for 6th in RBI’s (9). RHP Chuck King is tied for 3rd in saves (2), RHP Jean Cabrera is 2nd in ERA (0.56), 8th in WHIP (0.94), tied for 10th in BAA (.167) amongst qualified pitchers, 3rd in IP (16) and tied for 7th in K’s (18). LHP Braeden Fausnaught is tied for 4th in ERA (0.60), 7th in WHIP (0.93), tied for 10th in BAA (.167) amongst qualified pitchers, tied for 6th in IP (15) and tied for 10th in K’s (16). RHP Eiberson Castellano is tied for 10th in K’s (16).
The BlueClaws have scored 75 runs and yielded 53. They are second in the 12 team league in least hits allowed (88), third in fewest runs allowed (53 total - 42 earned), tied for 1st in least HR’s allowed (4), tied for third in strikeouts as a pitching staff (159), second in WHIP (1.16), 2nd in BAA (.192) and 3rd in ERA (2.92). As hitters they are 4th in runs scored (75), 2nd in hits (120), tied for 1st in triples (6), tied for 3rd in HR’s (12), third in RBIs (68), third in stolen bases (24), 2nd in batting average (.245), 6th in OBP (.329), 3rd in slugging (.376) and 3rd in OPS (.705).
Low A Clearwater : Florida State League
Team Record : 10-5 - 1st in West Division
Amongst League leaders : Shortstop Aidan Miller is tied for 2nd in runs scored (11), tied for 6th in hits (14) tied for 4th in doubles (4), tied for 2nd in HR’s (2), 5th in RBIs (9), tied for 5th in stolen bases (5), 6th in batting average (.318 in 44 AB’s), 4th in slugging (.545) and 6th in OPS (.912) amongst qualified hitters. First baseman Keaton Anthony is tied for 5th in RBIs (9), 5th in batting average (.324 in 34 AB’s), 4th in OBP (.465 in 43 PA’s) and 9th in OPS (.847) amongst qualified hitters. Catcher Luis Caicuto is tied for 4th in doubles (4). Outfielder Tjayy Walton is tied for 4th in HR’s (2). Outfielder Avery Owusu-Asiedu is tied for 3rd in stolen bases (7).
The Threshers have scored 84 runs and yielded 63. They are 6th in the 10 team league in ERA (4.09), 4th in WHIP (1.33), tied for 4th in BAA (.217), 3rd in runs against (63), 4th in walks against (74) and 2nd in strikeouts as a pitching staff (172). As hitters they are 2nd in runs scored (84), 1st in hits (124), 1st in doubles (30), tied for 3rd in HR’s (10), 1st in RBI’s (74), 1st in batting average (.248), 2nd in OBP (.358), 1st in slugging (.377) and 1st in OPS (.733).
