International League ( AAA ) - Lehigh Valley 7 (17-7) Columbus 5 (12-10) -ten innings

Allentown, PA - Coca-Cola Park


Scoring Summary :


Buddy Kennedy homered in the third inning.


Garrett Stubbs homered in the fourth inning. Rodolfo Castro walked, stole second and scored on a single by Erick Brito.


Erick Brito doubled in the sixth inning, went to third on a sacrifice bunt by Rafael Lantigua and scored on single by Cade Fergus.


Two singles, two doubles,walk, sac bunt and ground out scored four runs for Columbus in the eighth inning.


The game went into extra innings.


Columbus scored the placed runner in the 10th with a single and sacrifice fly.


In the bottom of the 10th Erick Brito moved placed runner Rodolfo Castro to third base with a sacrifice bunt. Rafael Lantigua hit a sacrifice fly to right field to score Castro. Justin Crawford doubled and Cade Fergus hit an absolute bomb over the center field wall for a two run walk-off home run!

Erick Brito had three hits (two singles and a double), a walk and sacrfice bunt.  Buddy Kennedy had two hits (double & HR).  Garrett Stubbs homered.  Cade Fergus had two hits (single & Hr, three RBIs). Justin Crawford doubled and walked once. Brandon Marsh was 0 for 2 with a walk.

Aidan Miller walked in the sixth, stole second, went to third on a sacrifice bunt by Hendry Mendez and scored on a sacrifice fly by Luis Verdugo.


Felix Reyes doubled in the seventh inning, Andrick Nava reached on an error, Reyes went to third on the play and then scored on a single by Robert Moore.


Tyler Miller hit a two run home run for Portland in the seventh inning.


A walk and two singles scored a run for Portland in the eighth inning. A sacrifice fly scored another.

Eduardo Tait singled in the eighth inning, Joel Dragoo walked. Tait went to third on a passed ball. Raider Tello singled to score Tait.


The game went into extra innings.


Maddux Houghton hit a three run home run for Fort Myers in the 10th inning.


A wild pitch and ground out scored placed runner Joel Dragoo in the bottom of the tenth.

Aroon Escobar is a very animated player and fun to watch - he does his version of the Soto shuffle on close pitches and often times will kiddingly stare down the pitcher - he has fun.
