AAA - Lehigh Valley 8 (11-12) Charlotte 4 (11-14)

Allentown, PA - Coca-Cola Park


Summary :


A double, triple and ground out scored two Charlotte runs in the first inning.


Jordan Luplow homered in the bottom of the first inning.


Cal Stevenson homered in the third inning. Jordan Luplow walked and scored on a single (Darick Hall) and fielding error by the center fielder.


Angelo Castellano hit a two run home run for Charlotte in the fourth inning.


Two walks and a single by Cal Stevenson loaded the bases in the bottom of the fourth inning. Jose Godoy walked to score a run.   Kody Clemens doubled to score two.  Jordan Luplow hit a sacrifice fly to plate one.  Darick Hall singled to score a run.


At Bat : 8 R, 11 H, 5 BB, 11 K’s


Darick Hall went 3 for 5 (singles) with an RBI.  Cal Stevenson had three hits (two singles & HR) with an RBI and two runs scored.  Kody Clemens doubled and Jordan Luplow homered.


On The Hill : 4 R, 4 H, 3 BB, 9 K’s


Tyler Phillips went seven innings, 4 R, 4 H, 2 BB, 5 K’s - 102 pitches - 66 strikes.  Taylor Lehman pitched a perfect inning - 1 K.

Jose Ruiz closed - 1 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 1 BB, 3 K’s.

A double and single scored a Somerset run in the first inning.


A single, walk and triple scored two more in the second.  Augustin Ramirez then hit a two run home run. A walk, passed ball and single added another run.


A walk and triple scored a Somerset run in the fourth inning.  They added another in the 5th on a triple and sacrifice fly. Benjamin Cowles homered for them in the 8th.


On The Hill : 9 R, 13 H, 7 BB, 6 K’s


Noah Skirrow pitched 3 innings, 6 runs - 5 earned, 7 H, 4 BB, 0 K’s.  Andrew Baker pitched two innings, 2 R, 4 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s.

Eury Ramos pitched two innings, 0 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 K.  Matt Russell pitched two innings - 1 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 3 K’s.

On Wednesday, Reading stole a season-high five bases, and added two on Thursday. Reading’s 26 stolen bases this season ranks tied with Somerset for third in the Eastern League. This comes after Reading finshed 10th in the league last season in stolen bases. Summary :


Two walks, a single and ground out scored two runs for Aberdeen in the first inning.


Felix Reyes and Bryan Rincon walked in the second inning. Leandro Pineda doubled off the right field wall to score a run. Zach Arnold reached on an error to load the bases. Andrick Nava grounded out to score a run.


A walk, throwing error and hit batter loaded the bases in the second for Aberdeen. Another walk forced in a run. Catchers interference scored a run.  A single scored two more.


Two walks, a balk and a sacrifice fly by Felix Reyes scored a run in the 5th inning.  Bryan Rincon hit a sacrifice fly to score another.


Two walks, a hit batter, threw singles and a triple scored five runs for Aberdeen in the 5th inning.  They scored a run in the 6th on a double, wild pitch and sacrifice fly.


Felix Reyes walked in the 7th and scored on a single by Bryan Rincon and fielding error by the right fielder. Leandro Pineda singled and Zach Arnold was hit by a pitch to load the bases.  Andrick Nava walked to score a run.


Bryan Rincon walked in the 9th, advanced to second on defensive indifference, to third on a balk and scored on a sacrifice fly by Leandro Pineda.


On The Hill : 12 R, 10 H, 9 BB, 7 K’s


Eiberson Castellano pitched two innings, 6 R - 2 earned, 3 H, 4 BB, 2 K’s.  Cristian Hernandez pitched two scoreless innings - 2 H, 0 BB, 3 K’s.  Jonathan Petit went 2/3 of an inning, 5 R, 4 H, 2 BB, 1 K.  Alex Rao stranded two inherited runners - 1.1 IP, 1 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 0 K’s.  Wesley Moore pitched an inning, 0 R, 0 H, 1 BB, 0 K’s.  Chuck King pitched an inning, 0 R, 0 H, 1 BB, 1 K.

Leandro Pineda had two hits (single and double) and two RBIs.  Felix Reyes and Hendry Mendez singled and walked twice. Andrick Nava doubled, walked twice and had two RBIs. Bryan Rincon doubled, walked twice and scored three runs.

Sam Aldegheri (15.1 IP, 5 H, 1 ueR, 4 BBs, 21 Ks on the season) struck out 10 over five scoreless innings on Friday, joining Jean Cabrera (4/12 at Hickory) as the second BlueClaw to do that this season.  They are the third and fourth BlueClaws since the team moved to High-A in 2021 to struck out at least 10 in five or fewer innings: Mitch Neunborn(5 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 10 K on 8/31/23 vs ABD) and Ben Brown (5 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 11 K on 5/28/22 vs GVL).  It happened nine times (2005-2019) as a Low-A

Summary :


Bradenton scored a first inning run in two doubles.


Dakota Kotowski reached on a fielders choice in the third inning, went to second on a ground out and scored on a single by Ricardo Rosario.


The game went into extra innings tied at one run apiece.


Bradenton scored the placed runner in the top of the 10th on a single and sacrifice fly.


Pinch hitter Trent Farquhar hit a double off the right field wall to score placed runner Bryson Ware in the bottom of the tenth.  Jared Thomas bunted Farquhar to third base.  AJ Shaver singled to left field to score Farquhar for the walk off win!


On The Hill : 2 R,  4 H, 1 BB, 6 K’s


Casey Steward pitched five innings, 1 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 1 K - another strong outing.  Jaydenn Estanista was excellent - three perfect innings - 3 K’s - 37 pitches - 26 strikes - fastball in the 94-96 mph range and a very good cutter/slider - he’s been very effective in the early going - five appearances to date - no runs allowed 👀.  Trey Dillard pitched two innings - 1 unearned R, 1 H, 0 BB, 2 K’s.


Defensive Gem :


Right fielder Ricardo Rosario completed an inning ending double play in the fourth by catching a fly ball and then firing a throw to home where catcher Jared Thomas made a catch and tag on a runner attempting to tag and score from third base - hose worthy!


At Bat : 3 R, 8 H, 2 BB, 9 K’s.


Bryson Ware had two hits.  Trent Farquhar, Bryson Ware and TJayy Walton each doubled.
